3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown, maple color. Pours with a light head. Has a sweet aroma like roasted maple syrup. Smooth smokey, malt taste, is bitter on the end but not too much. One of Bold Cities better beer.
On draft at brewery poured a dark amber color with aromas of caramel, bread, some light maple and some booze. Flavors are the same but wih some earth thrown in. drowland (9184) - Georgia, USA - DEC 7, 2012
12/7/12. Growler from the brewery. Deep brown pour with a nice light khaki head that fades to a ring but laces in nice rings. Sweet burnt caramel aroma with a touch of alcohol and dryness. Sweet entry with another small sense of booze and a lingering dry bitterness. A touch thin. Not bad! cbfobes (2888) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - JUN 22, 2012
On tap at brewery, pours a clear copper with a very thin head, the aroma has a nice amount of caramel and bread with a touch of booze as well, the flavor has a nice backbone of malt and caramel with some dark fruit in the finish as well, kind of warms you up as it goes down. Mouthfeel was pretty solid and smooth, not bad. Jlo7399 (218) - Florida, USA - JAN 21, 2012

One of my favorite beers they brew. Maybe its just my style but it is filling without being filling and flavorful without being overbearing, More beers should just be good without being cluster-f***s. Ok so I like those beers too but this beer offers a drinkable yet substantial, enjoyable, clean plated opportunity. Drink it if your worth it. beernovice39 (3269) - Idaho, USA - JAN 11, 2011
Draft at the brewer. Hard to see clearly but it looks copper with a thin tan head. Scent is roasted malt. Smooth malty taste with an earthy note. hopscotch (11411) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 10, 2010
Draft… Hazy amber/orange ale with a fizzy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma is of warm caramel-malt mash with a touch of cornmeal. Medium to full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Moderate citrus bitterness alongside grainy toffee and caramel malt sweetness. Crisp, dry finish. On tap at Bold City. It poured clear copper with tan head. The aroma has some roasty and sweet malts mixing with some earthy cherry like sensations. The taste has a smooth sweet maltiness mingling with lesser amounts of malt roastiness and citrus to earthy hops. Tasty stuff. sebletitje (10477) - Enghien, BELGIUM - AUG 16, 2009
pours copper, beige head.
Aroma of roasted malts, some burnt caramel.
Flavor, roasted / dark malts, some caramel that seems to come out and adding to the sweetness. Medium carbonation with some spices and hints of hops. Palate seemed to retain some light dark fruit aspects.
