COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The American IPA is a different soul from the reincarnated IPA style. More flavorful than the withering English IPA, color can range from very pale golden to reddish amber. Hops are typically American with a big herbal and / or citric character, bitterness is high as well. Moderate to medium bodied with a balancing malt back bone.

Great IPA. Bold City Brewery does not disappoint with the Mad Manatee. Good in a can, excellent in a glass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Taps clearing amber with a thick and persistent beige head. Aroma delivers malty and hoppy rones, not strong but serviceable. Flavor is much bolder, offering resiny hops, citrus tang and fresh malt. Mouthfeel features fair body and plenty of jazzy fizz. Mad about the Manatee!

Can. Pours a somewhat hazy dark golden color with small, foamy cream colored head. Piney hop aroma with some floral and citrus notes and a bit of crystal malt. Strongly bitter up front with a bit of maltiness in the finish. Medium bodied with lingering bitterness on the palate. Pretty good.

Gold with a beige head and lots of chunky sediment. Sticky resinous medium body with moderate carbonation.

Aroma: caramel malt, citrusy piney hops.

Taste: faint watermelon candy hops, musty snow boot character.

Sampled at an ESBLS. Cloudy golden. An off white head. Tropical fruit aroma with earth and sweet malts. Flavor is fruit first with citrus bitterness. Definitely a pale ale by style. Hops are forward but are not big. Earth and spice with fruit. Some harshness. Tropical fruit.
