Pours dark with ruby reflexes. Aroma: a very nice aroma of chocolate coupled with caramel, grassy and a touch of herb aromas. Taste: nicely balanced with chocolate counterbalanced by massive hoppiness. Palate is bitter but also a bit fruity. Very nice. martjoobolut (4234) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 9, 2017

On tap at TCBW 2017. Dark mahogany coloured with a beige head. Roasty and rather hoppy aroma with pine, licorice, citrus and hints of herbs. Surprisingly fresh and the alcohol is very well integrated. Balanced, quite refreshing and dangerously drinkable. bpreo (2832) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - APR 19, 2017
Three Floyd’s and Boneyard, not a bad collaboration. This is an extremely dark, bitter, and strong beer.

On tap at Apex in Portland for shawtank celebration. Snifter glass. Black with minor tan head and simple lacing. Aroma has vanilla and a little coffee/chocolate (although that could be impacted primarily by the visual). Plenty of hoppy resin notes as well. Taste is a quality balance of bitter chocolate, dark fruit, pine resin, and grapefruit rind. Very well hidden alcohol. Hops provide an impressive bite especially towards the finish. One of the highest ABV black IPAs I’ve tried and it’s also one of the best. Highly recommended. Fist bumps to Boneyard and Three Floyds. Korcz (3375) - Warsaw, POLAND - NOV 24, 2016

Dark brown color. Clear. Two-fingered, bubbley head with good retention. Aroma is cinnamon, vanilla and resin. Slight peanut butter. Smells clean. Taste piney and sweet. Medium-bodied. Average carbonation. Slightly drawn out bitter finish. Reminds me of a christmas tree. Sticky feel on palate. As much as this reminds me of the winter season i wish it was closer to christmas Lol. Deep amber to copper coloured with a creamy off white head. Aromas of caramel, resin, hints of bitter chocolate, fruits and spruce/pine develop. Softly carbonated with a rather crisp, slick and smooth texture offering a medium-full body. Lightly sweet building up a nice hoppy resinous fruit punch. Lasting finish, drying out. daje (4341) - NORWAY - JUN 6, 2016
