Draft at Toronado as part of the Boneyard night. One of the cool breweries I had the luxury to visit in my days, and I can’t think of many breweries I’m more proud to support. Reddish orange pour with a fizz ring head. Sour earthy funk aroma that I couldn’t perfectly describe if I tried. Maybe cherry too? Flavor is more funk than sour. Like a mild Flanders. Sample at GABF 2013. Pours brown with a tan head. Aroma of tart red fruit, malt, caramel and berries. Flavour is moderate sweet and acidic. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

12 oz. pour. Pours blackish-plum. No head, no lacing. Flavor is roasted sourness. Strange. And awesome. Tartness builds as you hold it in your mouth. A little rubbery is what stands out to me, but I like it, a lot. Who knew rubber could taste so good? Tap @ Portland Fruit Beer Fest’s Buzz Tent... Poured dark brown with a bubbly head that dissipated immediately. Phenolic, plastic, and scotch-like. Thin, watery palate. Smokey, copper kettle, tartness and acidity. Finished with grains, plastic, and sweetness. Off the mark. Bummer.
