Draft at Prohibition Pig. I’ve always wanted to try this beer. I didn’t think it would be while I was visiting Vermont. Medium haze, light orange body, soapy white collar that leaves the glass coated in lacing. Aromas of hops and earthy, bready malts. Hop forward supported by a malty backbone. Solid. bulldogops (2726) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 21, 2016
Rating #1962 2015.09.26 #CraftTakesSeattle Day 3, Beer 63 TapHouse Grill, draught. Pours a rich golden, small white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is grapefruity, pine, toffee malts. On the palate, similar pineapple and citrus and pine zest, mild resin, mild pastry dough malt. Medium bodied and extraordinarily balanced. Lots of toasted malt complexity and a great balance of grapefruity, pine hop notes. Superb. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - AUG 18, 2016
Just hitting Vermont for draft, this came to Winooski Beverage and I got a growlette of it.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy to off burnt orange color with a thin to almost thick white foamy atmospheric head. It quickly dissipated. No lacing.
The aroma starts off with a bright sweet to bitter charging grapefruit pulp and rind bursting into subtle sweet orange and lemon.
The flavor starts sweet and rides into a nice bitter backing. Aftertaste seems just about as perfect as I would have wanted for an AIPA with a slow riding almost cloying finish. Is it? No, not really.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it allowing the carbonation to play nice and smooth as well.
Overall, as an East Coaster I can put my hat off and say yup, here’s that West Coast AIPA that takes the cake. Worth the hype, damn right it is, so find out for yourself, get some. Gerbeer (3891) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 8, 2016
On tap. Pours a dark copper with moderate head. Aromas of grassy toasted malts with a hint of fruit. Flavors of biscuity malts, dried fruit and bitter grassy hops. Ok but expecting more. Fatehunter (2603) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - AUG 2, 2016

On tap at Hops & Pie 2 weeks ago. Gold appearance with a white head. Aroma of citrus zest, light tropical fruits, light resinous hops and a hint of flowers. Similar flavor, adding moderate bitterness and mild sweetness with hints of caramel/toffee. Medium body. Smooth, balanced and easy to drink. Bitter, floral, touch piney. Has a firm, biscuity malt backbone and a splash of alcohol. Fairly straightforward traditional west coast IPA beerplace (1923) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 28, 2016

Draft to pint at Multnomah Falls pour avg gold with moderate white head. Nose pineapple, tropical fruit, pine. Taste light bitter up front, then grassy, resin and tropical fruit. Light balancing sweetness mid palate. Light bitter finish. onceblind (10290) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 9, 2016
Slightly hazy golden with a foamy white head. Big floral and citrus rind-y aroma that’s very juicy and resinous. Crisp leafy and floral flavor with a dry body and nice orange peel and light grapefruit zest bitterness, with enough citrus semisweetness and pale malt body to balance it out. Nothing too unusual or unexpected but very crisp and clean and balanced, very hoppy flavorful without being too bitter.
