Bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of butterscotch caramel and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of butterscotch, caramel and light fruitiness with a smooth dry lingering butterscotch finish. onceblind (11113) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 19, 2017
Clear brilliant deep copper amber hue under a thin but tight ivory head. Big dark malty and slightly wheaty aroma with toast and earthy semisweet tones and a touch of toffee brittle. Smooth flavor that’s dark and malty and brown-nutty and slightly earthy and a touch wheaty. It’s like a strong dunkel Weisse without the fluffiness. zoucrew102 (2310) - - FEB 4, 2017
Bomber. Caramel malt aroma with notes of toasted malt, cocoa, dark fruit and earthy hops. Pours chestnut colored with a thin tan head that has little retention or lacing. Starts with caramel malt sweetness with notes of toasted malt and dark fruit. Finishes smooth with cocoa flavors as well as a bit of earthy hoppiness at the end. Pretty nice scotch ale. Aroma is heavy caramel and toast malt, soft dates and figs, light woody and earthy hops. Bottled. Roan brown with a big foamy beige head that has good retention. Aroma is sweet malts and caramel. Taste is similar tot he nose, and this is a malt bomb. . Hops are very weak in this brew giving it an unbalanced taste profile. Palate was a bit thinner than i prefer. Overall: Decent Scotch ale but not outstanding.

651 ml. bottle 7.5% ABV. Bottled 11/18/15. Pours a thick well retained, ivory head, with extensive lacing, over a clear copper (SRM 17) body.....nose is toasted malts, with plum, raisin notes, light herbal hops, with slight woodiness......taste is very slightly sweet, almost dry, slight sherry tones, with light dried fruits, including fig and raisin, hints of wood, becoming mildly bitter......mouth feel, light of medium body, mild alcohol warmth, high carbonation. This is a not unpleasant beer, but it misses the style rather badly. The usual caramel/toffee richness typically found is almost completely lacking. The hops, although mild by American standards, are a bit too obvious. The malt back bone needs re-work, perhaps more decoction which would help. With the slightly higher ABV it is a newer recipe. Bottle. Clear brown colour. Aroma dried fruits, raisins, sherry, fruity. Clear dark brown colour. Taste lightly yeasty, fruity, dried fruits. Very tasty. Alcohol comes out a bit, but that is normal at this temperature. Cuso (8960) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - APR 10, 2015

Fľaša. Tmavo hnedá farba, hnedá pena. Vôňa sladkej čokolády, lieskových orieškov, jemne karamelu. V chuti sladkosť, čokoláda, kakao, lieskové oriešky, jemne cítiť alkohol. Veľmi príjemné sladké, trošku suché doznievanie. Veľmi dobré pivo!
