Tap at Bonfire. Dark pour. No lacing. Sweet vanilla aroma. Sweet, caramel and dark malts, hints of oak without much of a whiskey character. It's ok. zoucrew102 (2240) - - DEC 27, 2014
Bomber. Roasted malt aroma slight hints of vanilla and oak. Pours very dark brown with a thin, but retentive, light brown head and very little lacing. Starts with roasted malt flavors with a bit of chocolate and vanilla. Finishes smooth with some vanilla, oak and bourbon coming through before more roasted malt covers the palate. Pretty good, but I was hoping for more whiskey flavor and the body is light-ish for a whiskey barrel porter. fonefan (52351) - VestJylland, DENMARK - DEC 12, 2014

Pours hazy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, wood, vanilla and caramel, Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long slightly warm, chocolate, caramel and wood finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle, 22oz. It’s an unclear one, brown in color and with a small, beige head. The aroma has a little sourness, not of the malty side, more lemony, with roasted malts, coffee and a boozy hint. Some oak hints. It’s full-bodied and with a nice carbonation level. Roasted malts, coffee notes, chocolate, oak and something lemony in the flavor. Lasting finish with some alcohol notes and a more distinct whiskey touch than initially. Quite nice this one, although not a winner in my book. 141024
