COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Getrunkenexperiment. Query: What might a blend of pear, apple and quince taste like naturally fermented (with indigenous yeast)? Result (not surprisingly): The ethereal suggestion of pineapple quince; the pungent, heady, dusky perfume of pear; and the earthy succulence of apple. I never thought I’d see... a pome as lovely as Querry. Crisp in acidity and bone-dry. Querry is the perfect accompaniment to, well, essentially everything. It is composed of virtually everything, but most significantly: 58% pears, 33% apples, 9% quince, malic acid, sulfur dioxide.

2013 bottling: 62% pears, 36% apples, 2% quince.

3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 5, 2013
2011 dated 750ml. clear pale yellow body with seltzer water effervescence. mild generic apple / pear aroma with softer touches of unripe kiwi and lemon meringue pie. substantial calcium carbonate and granite / spring water mineral character; some sea salt / sand notes; soft apple + pear expression but missing any distinct quince note (and me being unfamiliar with quince, which I hear is basically a pear). light body; between dry and semi-dry (not bone-dry as the bottle says); mild unripe apple and pear with suggestions of lemon custard. increasing malic acid in the finish (bitter, astringent, acidic apple skins). it’s not deep or complex and develops no depth over the course of a sip or a glass. well-made but very static.

Bottle from Astor Wines. Sipping away on my stoop, awaiting the inevitable onslaught of trick or treaters. Ommegang anniversary glass. Clear, golden, laquered body. Smell is deep, floral & fuming with bittersweet pears & black tea-like essence. Taste is bittersweet apples, moderately tannic and salivating. Light oak. Flat, with hints of continued fermented. Medium, lingering acid. Curious drying, pithy finish that reminds me of the one other quince cider I've had in my lifetime. Abv is on point, maybe a touch hot. Very tasty & quafable.

S_Side_Smitty (802) - Lakeland, Florida, USA - JUL 1, 2017
2011 vintage. Pours crystal clear and gold in color with a quickly dissipating medium white head. Aroma is fermented apples with just a faint fermented funk. Taste is initially tart apples followed quickly by heavy carbonation and back to apple skins. Really, kind of muted overall probably due to age.

Dryish aroma of perry pears, apples and quince, hints of sulphites. Very moderate carbonation in the mouth. Dry flavour of pears, apples and quince, again hints of sulphites. Short finish. Bottle (75 cl screw cork!) from Systembolaget. Very fresh pear and apple aroma, with some aromas I don’t recognize and I suppose they come from the uqince. Medium bodied, medium to high carbonation. Semi dry with soft acidity.

Gyllene äppelfärg, doft av päron & äppelsaft & kompost & ren fräsch doft, lätt i kropp, frisk, fräsch, somrig, ren i smaken inge bismaker, inte lika syrlig som jag trodde, rena pubcidern, friska päron & äpplen, liten restsötma, rätt torr, bra men inte bäst ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
