2013 bottle from Rimi. BB 20.05.2035. Looks beautiful, smells and tastes delicious, the cherry seems so 'real' and fresh, and the funk takes it to another level. Acidity and sourness tolerable. Crisp. The ABV is rather hidden. Good stuff, went down like nothing, gotta savour this better next time...

375 ml cork bottle "2013 vintage" (batch # 61304) opened with a loud “pop” bought at HK Brewcraft in Central.
Looks: Translucent deep rose red colour with a ring of dirt-like yeast sediments; Half finger head with soapy off-pink foams which fades in 40 seconds; Fair sticky lacing with near zero carbonation.
Aroma: Very fragrant malt, with strong sour cherries, strong funk, strong red wine, caramel, strong yoghurt, spices, sugar, barrel and tannic. Very deep and nice!
Taste: Strong tart malt, with moderate sour cherries, sherry, light red wine, pretty strong alcohol, very sharp liquorices, wood barrel, sugar notes, funk, lemon and tannin.
Body: Mid to light body. Thin palate.
Mouth Feel: Fair maltyness in a slightly runny background. Sour cherry taste is hollowed by layers of sherry, red wine and then sharp booze. Fair funk spicyness with very light sweetness, light lemon and barrel and light tannin to round. Hmmm...
Bitterness / Tannic: Fair to light in nose and taste. The sharp booze gives it a abrupt, fair astringent light malty finish.
After Taste: Fairly dry. Boozy funky and fairly tart to mouth.
Comments: The deep winey aroma is quite impressive, but the taste is flat - not much cherries, only a whiff of sharp booze and not enough funk. Hollow as a Kriek and not enough to be gauged with a Geuze. Half-hearted and disappointing.

UPDATED: FEB 16, 2018 Strong fruity cherry flavor in straight lambic style. Slightly acidic and with solid haze on top. Full flavor, medium carbonation.
