COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

Ciemnoczerwone, w zasadzie burgund. Piana rózowa, drobna, trzyma sie z bardzo wyraznym lacingiem. W aromacie wisnie, wino, maliny. W smaku mocno wytrawne, wino wyraznie przebija sie nad wisnie. Dosc kwasne, ogólem naprawde znakomite. Na ten moment chyba najlepsze piwo jakie pilem

Bottle 37,5 cl, harvest 2014. Pours a clear purplish red with a medium pinkish white head and an aroma of sour cherries, vinegar, white wine, wood and berries. The taste is tart with a medium body, lively carbonation and a dry finish. This one is almost perfect!

Aroma is complex with raspberries, sour cherries, tartness, green cherry plums, sweet cherry jam and sour cherry liquor. Taste is not as sour as expected, and a bit sweet. It could use some more carbonation. Stale cherries, sour tart, jam, oak, funk. Very nice!

2013 bottle. Pours a hazy darker red or purple with a thin purple head. The aroma is a little subtle though intriguing. Mildly tart, it contains dark cherry, oak, yeast, and vinegar, with the cherry being most influential. The taste is dry and offers you a fierce tartness. The tart’s intensity is short, but the impression lingers for a long while. Its just a bit salty as well. Cherry and vinegar flavors are very potent, while lesser oak provides a good base. Long tart and vinegar aftertaste. Lighter in body, more sticky in texture, and fizzy carbonation. Very enjoyable. I should drink more lambics.

Pours unclear red. Aroma of brett and vinegar. Taste of stable, horse (classic brett), a little cherry, lactid acid wood/barrel. Medium body, average carbonation. Yummy.

mieszal92 (311) - Gliwice, POLAND - JUN 2, 2017
Pours hazy burgundy, pink head. Nose similar to 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze I tried directly before (note: total beginner here), cherry and raspberry seed paste after making a syrup:) Less funky, less sour than 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze, raspberries, cherries. This cherry is actually not so intense. Sweet. Astringent. The first kriek in life, I do my best to be objective!
