Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

Bottle from Quarrie. Perfect looking beer! Nose is full of sweet tart - bright cherries and sweet raspberry, almost beetroot juice in there with a pleasing tang to it. A hint of sugar coming through in the taste but overall it is very clean and has a creamy cherry icing feel to the finish with plenty of tarty berries and sweet raspberry juice. Good balance between tart and sweetness which some krieks really struggle to pull of. Nice beer

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a cherry red colour with a pinky foamy head. Funky looking beer! Nose is cherries, oak, tart and citrus. Taste is quite sour upfront with focus on the sour cherries. Nice acidity to it. Love how the oaky vanilla smooths it out at the end. Fucking winner for me ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared wit father in law, 2008 version. Dark ruby color with small pink head that dissapear quickly. Smells sour cherries. Tastes cherries offcourse and sweeter than it smells but it stings at the back of the tounge at the end. Long lasting nice finish. Very dry.

Bottle. 8.0%. Vintage 2008. Best before 28.10.30. Pours a murky dark burgundy with a diminishing pink head. Tart/sour, but smooth aroma, with a cherry note, horse blanket and a hint of pineapple. A more general berry-note as it warms. Well-balanced. Flavour is tart/sour, with cherry and pineapple. Bitter and sour finish with pineapple and a touch of coconut. Lingering dryness and a light apple note. Overall pretty good; well-balanced, and the tart-/sourness isnt too intrusive. The cherry isnt that outspoken, but I think it might have been cloying if that had been the case; the subdued cherry notes makes for a more balanced brew. The pineapple and coconut notes were a bit of a surprise though but not bad. 07.03.14.

Pours a dark burgundy with a medium pink head that adheres quite readily to the glass and provide really nice lacing. Nose is of cherry meat and pits, not too abrasive with acidity. Taste is of cherries and really light funk, really classy. Tart but not overdone. Mouthfeel is lean, carbonation medium. A top tier kriek for sure, yum!

Bottle at home. Deep red pour, fizzy pink head. Tart cherry aroma. High carbonation. Slightly sweet, tart cherry taste. Carbonation is a bit to high in my opinion, but still a really tasty beer.

Bottle at home (2012). Pours dark ruby red with a large pink head that quickly disappears. Sour aroma of cherries and earthy wood. Sweet cherrie taste with a nice long sour aftertaste. Quite good, but apparently even better when aged.
