Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

Bottle. Pours deep ruby with thick, frothy pink head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is cherries, red grapes, cookie malt, and funky, sour fruit. Flavor is balanced sour and tart fruit esters which transitions smoothly to a sweet, red dessert wine flavor; dry finish. Light body, medium carbonation, and low warmth.

Dębowa beczka robi swoje. Balsamiczne, eleganckie piwo, żadnych chamskich nut stajennych, wszystko idealnie wyleżakowane w dębie.

Fijn zurig aroma. Zeer mooi bier, donder kersenkleur met mooie roze kraag. De smaak is vol en alcoholisch. Licht zurig, licht houterig. Vol, sappig en een mooie balans tussen de Lambiek en Krieken. Redelijk veel koolzuur. Zeer fijne afdronk. Absolute top.

375ml bottle (thx, Alex L.!) shared with my wife on our 11th anniversary. Vintage 2014. Pours an opaque red with a rose head. Aroma is a lambic, cherries, cherry kompot, some funk and farm notes. Taste is the same. Quite dry. Low sweetness. I would rate this higher, but I dont think that those dirty farm notes are appropriate, even if they make the beer closer to the original beer that was brewed dozens of years ago.

Bottle from Saveur beer. Pours ruby red. Nose is blackberry, Berry, cherry, balsamic vinegar. Flavour is a blackberry, bread, malt backbone which balances the tartiness. Bit of a jam finish with dry bitter end. Dry bitter fruit end. Lasting finish. Lovely.

2013 bottle. Pours deep ruby blood into a tumbler. Bright pink head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Cherry and oak aromas. Dry with dark oak and bitter earth upfront turning to mild, tart cherry in their lasting finish.

2013 bottle sampled in 2017. I need to drink stuff like this more often! Poured a rich ruby-purple color, initially clear but I poured the dregs, so its a cloudier richer purpler color. Nose is complex, cherries sure, but cherry stone, oak, old stale cheese, hay/straw, old barn, .Dry and tart, with dry cherry and oak, fairly tannic. Just a little kiss of sweetness in there near the finish. So drinkable I just want to gulp it but I must fight that so I can savor. Carbonation is fine, a little stinging carbonic acidity. Finish reminds of the old barn and straw notes from the nose. Theres one more thing in the aroma/flavor that I cant quite distinguish - seems like a spice of some sort (not that its spiced but just something funky and reminiscent of a spice, like cardamom or something. I just want to say more about this but mostly Im at a loss at this point. Its truly great though.

Bottle into a taster showing dark red with a finger of pink foam. The nose shows tart acetic notes with sweet notes of cherries. The palate is medium bodied and highly carbonated with a foamy mouthfeel. Highly tart with flavors dark cherries and a clean vanilla background with a slight white wine bitterness on the finish.

Pours a deep ruby colour with a dense shiny lasting pinkish head. Cherry nose, light almonds, crisp red apple, light citrus. The taste is lovely with rich fruit, sweet lingering cherry and a mineral tartness. Super ballance. Light sweet aftertaste leading to a crisp and drying finish. Very very good.
