COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh cherries (25%) are used. Kriek Boon is slightly sweet, with the surprising natural fragrance of sourcherries and almonds. With only 4% of alcohol it is a perfect summer beer.

Rood en een kraag die lichtjes op het bier blijft liggen. Aroma van kersen, maar niet echt sterk en nog alleen als ie niet te koud is. Smaakt vrij waterig, wat zoet en wat vage kersen. Ik ben niet onder de indruk.

Reddish brown beer with a pink head. Funky and sweet smell. Not too carbonated and a slight cherry sweetness. Wildness is subdued and easy to drink, quite juicy, good.

Aroma:
Medium aroma of malts, cherry and tart.

Appearance:
Hazy/turbid red/purple beer with a medium pink head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts and cherry; ends slightly dry and sour with tart.

Overall:
This beer is intense and balanced, but lacks complexity. Rather sweet cherry flavour and just a slight trace of tart. Tasteful and drinkable and manages to never get too sweet for its own good.

Draft @ Metafoor, Leuven. Pale red with almost no head. Aroma and taste of cherries. Sweet and sour. Refreshing but too sweet for my tastes. Low carbonation. I dont really care for these kind of beers but I guess its good for what it is.

15cl draught, glass on a tasting tray in Le Trappiste, Brugge: late Nov 2016. Red pour, off-white head. Semi-sour cherries rule the brew completely, nothing more to add really. Some Kriek beers are really sour, others overly sweet: this sits on the fence.

Bottle @ St Arnoldus, Ieper. Pours blood red, white head with a faint pinkish tinge. Aroma is vibrant sweet cherry kriek. Taste verges on the sweet side, lightly cloying, clean and lacking a nice sharp kriek edge. That said, it was pleasant and refreshing enough on this afternoon

375ml bottle at home. Pours dark red with a white head. Very crisp sweet cherry aroma that is followed up by a similair taste. Over medium sweet, bit too much. Light bodied, fizzy. Clean, crisp and refreshing but very simple.
