COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh cherries (25%) are used. Kriek Boon is slightly sweet, with the surprising natural fragrance of sourcherries and almonds. With only 4% of alcohol it is a perfect summer beer.

Cherry taste all over. Sprizzy refreshing, sweet and yet I am able to drink several of them in a row.

Bottle 2015. Clear ruby red pour with minimal pink head. Aroma has sweet cherry sauce. Taste is very sweet. Lots of sweetness and minimal wild yeasty notes. Very much similar to a sweet wine. Well composed but very sweet. Maybe I do not understand the low ABV kriek’s

Rubinowej barwy. Klarowne ale nieprzejżyste. Piana słaba, szybko znika. W aromacie wiśnie, trochę nut winnych. Średnia intensywność. W smaku mocno owocowe. Kweśne, bardzo przyjemne. Pijalne!

Bought a couple of 11.2oz bottles and chilled them. Smell is definitely cherries, and these cherries are sour. Taste is very similar to smell, but is lighter and more natural cherry taste (and less sugar) than other versions of Kriek. Beer feels light, yet refreshing, and leaves a pleasant cherry aftertaste. Much more refined than say, Lindemans Kriek. A very good example of a Lambic beer.

75cl shared bottle at home from Dranken Geers, Gent. Nose is cherry. Body is opalescent fizzy ruby, head is medium, pink, sparkling, mostly diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma is cherry, sugar. Medium sweet, light fruity sour. Finish is short lasting cherry medium sweet sour. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Quite, quite refreshing, well balanced, nice one.

Butelka, warka do 17.01.2021r. Barwa rubinowa, przejrzysta.

2015 vintage. Deep dark purple ruby with cotton candy pink foamy head. Aroma is merlot with faint cherry. Tart, cherry is there but more like a sweet red wine. I remember the marriage parfait being similarly winelike. I prefer more tart kriek lambics, but this one is well done nevertheless.

For me, its a good beer to start with if you’re interested in this style. Sweet, smooth, you can drink few of them and dont even feel like drinking beer :)
