Kriek Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh cherries (25%) are used. Kriek Boon is slightly sweet, with the surprising natural fragrance of sourcherries and almonds. With only 4% of alcohol it is a perfect summer beer.

Bottle. The pour was a murky dark cranberry red with a very small (almost non-existent) light pink fizzy head that was fully diminishing in just a few seconds and had no lacing to speak of. The aroma was all about the cherries with a mild caramel malt and a sweet yeast and had a hint of candi-sugar and a slight sour odor. The taste was abundantly sweet and a tad acidic with a very big cherry presence throughout, with the finish having a hint of candi-sugar and a nice mellow tartness towards the end. The flavor hung on for a decent duration with the sweet-tart cherry taste fading ever so slowly. Mouthfeel was just a tiny bit beyond light in body and somewhat watery in texture with a soft mellow carbonation. Overall a nice fruity tart Lambic that was extremely drinkable, reminds me a little of a Sour Cherry Jolly Rancher...

2015 vintage. Deep dark purple ruby with cotton candy pink foamy head. Aroma is merlot with faint cherry. Tart, cherry is there but more like a sweet red wine. I remember the marriage parfait being similarly winelike. I prefer more tart kriek lambics, but this one is well done nevertheless.

For me, its a good beer to start with if youre interested in this style. Sweet, smooth, you can drink few of them and dont even feel like drinking beer :)

Looks decent, pours little to no head, aromas of raspberry, cherry, and similar fruits. Refreshing raste, nice palate, good level of sourness. Overall a pretty good lambic, very drinkable.

Aroma and taste of cherries, sweetness too dominating for my taste but decent. Lively carbo.

2015 Bottling 4%ABV. Lambic Poured out red. Nose has creamy fruity aroma, in short, smells like fresh cherry pie. Mouthfeel is juicy. Palate has solid pale malt with fresh biscuits and sweet dough. The palate is juicy. The hop finish is barely there and appears to my palate to be woody. No bitter aftertaste at all.

750 ml Bottle, Vintage 2014. Pours with a hazy, red copper color and a small pastel red head. The nose is sweet cherries, almonds, some nuts. taste is rather sweet, like dark cherries, fruit-in-rum, slightly malty and good carbonated. The finish is more dry and sour. Slighltly sweeter than others.

Aromat winny, trochę wiśniowy. Piana drobnopęcherzykowa, szybko opadająca. Piwo w kolorze ciemnego burgundu. Trochę rozwodnione, wiśniowe. Jak gazowane czerwone wino. Dosyć mocno nasycone,

Kolor wiśniowy, lekko zamglony, pina rośnie wysoka drobna i gęsta. Ładnie oblepia szkło. Aromat wiśni, taki przyjemny świeży, kompot z wiśni, liście wiśni, czuć derkę, zakurzone drzewo, w tle lekki migdał. W smaku dziwna słodkość, jakaś miodowa, lekka wytrawność. Dość płytkie, nieco rozwodnione. W aromacie prezentowało się lepiej. Pijalność średnia. Piwo ok, ale wersja Oude lepsza.

Syrupy cherries, almonds, mineral water, light-med sourness with light-med cherry sweetness, actually manageable for a sweet kriek.
