Vintage 2004. Snifter. Bright orange pour, small head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is pungent barnyard and funk, Brett, leather, apricot. Rather light bodied, high carbonation. Good acidity. The flavors mirror the nose, bright stonefruits over a funky, earthy, leathery base. The finish is dry with a roasted mushroom note and a lingering twang. Pretty good geuze.

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2017 0.375 l bottle, shared with Višnja666. Thanks! Hazy orange, small off-white head. Very dusty, wood, orange and spice. Very tart and astringent. Medium body, moderate to high carbonation, very dry, lasting finish. Beautiful.

2013 sticker. Golden Apple juice colour with a fizzy white head initially. Nice bretty funky notes rise from the glas, grassy and with a touch of citrus. The taste is crisp and fairly clean. Slightly mineral along with the sour lemon, gets drying in the aftertaste. Good geuze.

Bottle at home. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma has funk, grass and funk. Taste is champange like with funk, grass and basement. Really nice.

375ml bottle at Tilley’s, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Nice, champagne and fruit aroma. There’s a mild funkiness in here that is hard to pinpoint.

Pours a nice hazy golden yellow from a bottle, good head. Nice tart and funky lemon aroma, lots of grassy notes with a shovelful of barnyard funk. Pretty good beer.

Maybe here the taste is better, in comparison with the regular gueuze, but all same to it, what I wrote, same to Cantillon and 3Fonteinen. Sour.

Shared at a tasting, small fizzy head, hazy dried apricot orange color, aroma of sewer, horse sweat and a hint of caramel, flavor of brine with lots of fruit, black pepper mainly in your throat and hints of butter and caramel, medium bodied. Very good and enjoyable.

DraftDodger (1707) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 17, 2017
Copenhagen 17/9 2017. 37,5 cl bottle from Vin de Table. Vintage 2012. Serious looking black label informing me that it is bottle conditioned. Pours hazy golden yellow with remnants of yeast drifting around and small white head. Head more or less disappears shortly after pouring. Aroma reminds me of sour lemonade. There is a medium sweet lemonade-ish sweetness overpowered by prominent sourness. Strong carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is has slender sweetness followed by strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is bitter sour and finish dry. Just as a Geuze should be.

It was the good surprise of yesterday. I share this bottle with Raoul at the Pibar, Lausanne. I could say that it is a perfect union, a beautiful piece of classical music, coming from Schönnbrunn Vienna, a perfect harmony with the aroma, slight but powerful. The colour is yellow/orange, clear. The foam is white, sparkling carbonation, normal for the style. The aroma at the nose was pleasant like the peach trees in the south of France. The taste is sparkling, lambic, malt, lovely touch of peach, fruity and the sensation in the mouth is well balanced, a perfect balance, the correct dosis, a really good experience!!!!!!
