Savor 2016: Dried leaves on the nose. Clear copper medium head. Grain flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. Good intensity, but easily quaffable. AirForceHops (8037) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 16, 2016
Guest tap at 515, Iowa. Yep, the source. Clear red color, no head to mention. Aroma is weak yeast with weak toffee notes. This style just is had to get excited about but... Tickets GOT to tick.
Flavor is standard Irish red, toasted grain. Lager yeast like finish. Yes, love this brewery and what they brew, this is just simple. Pretty easy for the masses to down.Travlr (26431) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 23, 2015

Draft at Great Nebraska Beer Fest. Hazy deep amber color, white head. Aroma of burnt caramel with a nutty edge. Taste has caramel, light fruit, nutella. Nice. CanIHave4Beers (4243) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - JUL 10, 2013
Pours a hazy red with a small head.

The aroma is toasty caramel with some faint light graininess & some leafy hops.
The flavor is nicely earthy with a good zippy hoppiness, some light caramel & some pleasantly grainy as well as bright malt character.
One of my favorite examples of the style, very nice.
had this on tap at iowa craft beer festival with chad.. red pour, with a malty aroma, and taste, creamy and smooth heemer77 (5361) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JUN 24, 2012
A deep copper body with a yellow khaki head. The malty smells were complemented with some apple sweetness. The taste was light leather and walnuts. There was a lingering malt finish. Absolutely solid as a nice middle of the road Irish Ale. sthlm (790) - Blank, Alabama, USA - APR 20, 2012
[On-tap at Boone Valley Brewing] Pours reddish amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is malt driven and quite sweet. The taste is interesting and really hard to peg. I like it, but it baffles me--a pervasive, fruity acidity (grape?) mixed with big maltiness with caramel sweetness. Some hazelnut notes showed up after awhile too. Pretty nice stuff. Overall, I liked this one quite a bit, and it was one that I certainly plan to try again some time.
