2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured from bottle, bit cloudy head was very little. Not a lot of flavor to be had. Bit wheaty and small clove and orange. A bit disappointing, i will need to try it from the tap again.
Very yeasty aroma. Clear golden colour with reasonable head. Yeasty flavours with smooth finish. Medium body and carbonation. maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - APR 16, 2013
Tap at Mane Liquor. Cloudy orange pour with a small white head which quickly disappears. Nose is a little sharp - orange, lemon, spice. Taste shows rounded banana and lemon. Quite citric and acidic fruits but works well with subtle spices. I like it. Creamy and zesty mouth feel. Good for a style I don’t normally enjoy varanid99 (1204) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 29, 2012
Straw coloured pour with thin head, decent carbonation. Fruity, banana aroma. Flavour was subdued but with the banana lolly taste. A little sweet. ALLOVATE (3014) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUL 12, 2012
Pour is full ball; highly effervescent like soda-pop. Medium straw yellow and just off bright with an initially bountiful, snow-white head of fluff that recedes back to a messy web of suds. Clean, lemon zest, pear-drop and candied banana nose with wisps of floury wheat. Gammy banana, clammy wheat and sour citrus dominate. Low phenols, awkward mouthfeel and high in effervescence with a powdery, dry finish. Pretty flat-line and one-dimensional otherwise. Quaffable, but missing the mark just a little bit!!(33cL, no date stamp, Bootleg brewery, Margaret River) gam (3924) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - SEP 25, 2011

Bottle. Cloudy orange with a large white head that collapses to an inch. High carbonation. Aroma of lemon, cloves, white pepper. Barely sweet. Wheaty but not really bready. No banana. Some wheat and lemon tang. Dry and spicy finish. Refreshing but uninvolving. No date, but clearly very fresh. jgb9348 (6250) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - OCT 7, 2010
Great to be the third rater of this beer and the first not from Australia! Super crisp and clear (NOT hazy) with a bunch of bubbles rising from the bottom and a large, dense white head that fades like soap - very fast. The craziest thing about this appearance is the fog that stays on top of the bottle once immediately opened - it looks magical - crazy. Aroma of fresh wheat, caster sugar and then a funky cardboardie type scent comes through - odd. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a very mild flavour, showing only a light malt (not even wheat) flavour, some light citrus notes, a hint of banana and some subdued fruity sweetness. Aftertaste is very mellow with some malt (again, not much wheat flavours) and some mild funky yeast coming through, and also some fake sugar flavour. Overall, not very wheatie and especially not a german unfiltered wheat which the label clearly stated they were attempting. A pretty big letdown and a very sub-par beer. Unfortunately, I brough this back for a long trip to be sampled, and I wasn’t too happy with the results. But, happy to have sampled it, given not many people have! I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Slowbeer in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on 31-December-2009 for AU$4.50 sampled at home on the East Coast of the Good Old USA in Washington on 07-October-2010. Pretty good and much better than expected. Emphasis is not at all on cloves and bubblegum, rather this beer is quite dry with some attractive pepper and smokey slate characters. Good (& serious) structure here. bluevegie (3073) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - NOV 21, 2008
Not as heavy as the recently tried Duckstein/Saracen hefeweizen though a touch sweeter. Same cloves on the nose but banana is hardly there in the taste.
