COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
West Australian barley and traces of wheat are blended to produce Bootleg's handcrafted, refreshingly fruity alternative to the commercial market that acknowledges the pioneers of the district. The use of bittering and aromatic hops provides citrus and melon aromas balancing the malt to finish with an appetisingly lemon bitterness. Deliciously food friendly

Great on the nose, fresh & hoppy and looks slick once you've poured it into the glass. This one lacks the weight on the palate which is a bit of a let down for me.

Got a grassy edge on the nose. Bit hoppy. Definitely IPA but bitterness might be a bit high. Got ground coffee. Has fruit with touch of chocolate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap from Mane Liquor. Pours a golden brown with 2cm of off-white head. Sweet caramel biscuit and grassy nose. Flavour is well balanced, nice easy drinking carbonation and body. Lingering bitter-sweet hoppiness. Great for a WA beer!

Bottle At mane liquor. Pours a golden with a nice white head. Aromas of citrus , honey and malts. More bready honey malts in the taste. Not as fruity up front. Sweet bitterness. Tasty ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light gold pour with little head. Aroma is largely malt, but with some tropical fruit and biscuit. Taste predominantly malty, a little citrus, some bread.

Had on tap at the brewery. A very nice american pale ale. Lovely hop aromas and bitterness.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Not sure why this isn’t getting higher raps. Great looking orange amber with a big, fluffy white head leaving great lacing. Nose is a little one dimensional but what is there works well - caramel, biscuit, grapefruit, citrus. Quite malt driven but the hops arent at all subdued. Great grapefruit finish. Tasty stuff

Brenhophead (695) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 10, 2012
330mL bottle, pours a light golden almost straw colour with a grassey/citrus, slightly doughy/wheat aroma. Nice bitterness upfront with a light lemon zest and smooth finish. Decent lacing and creamy head, nice beer.

Nose is somewhat fruity with citrus and floral hops plus a significant amount of grass as well. Lightly dusty, a some bread and crackery malts as well. Pours light golden with a short lived frothy head and lace - the picture to the right looks way better. Grassy, floral, citrusy, light bread and cracker malts. Dry and crisp with a decent hoppy finish. Drinks well. Well carbonated.
