I feel lucky I got this brew in a BIF then the guy decided to stop shipping brew out on his other commitments’. So here is to all you guys who got the short in of the stick. I hope the senders brews the sender got all were infected and drain pours. I split this glass with friends and poured into snifters we were greeted with big old tan head that didn’t quit, on top of a black bodied brew.
The aroma of rich dark coffee dominates this brew with a slight chipotle coming up in the back end. In the taste department you get a lot of coffee at first. I think if this was marketed as a coffee brew alone it would be fantastic but the chili pepper is under done a bit. There was some but I really had to think about it to pick it out. I think it just needs a touch more chili the concept was great but it didn’t quite come thru for me.
Serving type: bottle
22oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an averaged sized off white head. Roast, Chili peppers, some coffee and a tart finish (but that’s probably because I needlessly aged this because I have too much beer to drink in a life time). blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - FEB 26, 2017
Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Mild coffee sweetness, roasted malts, some molasses-like sweetness, and coffee sweetness lingering through the finish. Not bad. Maarten1993 (1276) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - FEB 11, 2017
Drank with Rik in at Pivo 100 in Bratislava (second beer of the tasting), 08-02-2017. Pepper, lots of carbonation and sharp. Okay. lukka19 (925) - Myjava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - FEB 8, 2017
Bottle. Dark brown to black color, medium, light beige head. Aroma is light roasty, bit sour of coffee with chilli and dark chocolate. Taste is light roasty and malty, bit more carbonated, light taste of chilli, strong coffee, solid hoppy JorisPPattyn (9982) - Ursel, BELGIUM - DEC 25, 2016
Huge, thick beige head over virtually black beer. Chocolate, bit of coffee. Voluminous head hampers the perception. Bit earthy, also paint, autumn leaf, toffee. Chocolate, mocha, coffee, spicy. Chilliheat arrives nearly as an afterthought, but keeps hanging after a while. Faintly smoked, capsicum. Seems well-bodied for a relatively light stout. Very well-carbonated. Not bad, drinkable despite the chilli.

Black color with a small tan head.
Mild coffee and roasted malt in the aroma.
Strong roasted malt and moderate chili in the flavor. Quite pleasant. Lacking the chili a bit.
@ISKTR 2016. Nopea kohtalainen vaahto, ruskeanmusta väri. Tyypillinen laimeahko stouttimainen tuoksu, liian kuohuva överihapokas suutuntuma, jälkifiilis lievän poltteinen, kaukana oluesta, lähinnä kolamainen. olio (10269) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 20, 2016
65 cl bottle @ ISKTR 2016.
Pours dark mahogany red color with a small head. Aroma is oaky, chocolate, coffee and cocoa. Flavor is chocolate, coffee / vegetable notes, mild chili burn, roasted malts. A bit disappointing.
