30th April 2016, on tap at Provision Market, Old Town Orange. Slight haze to the Amber coloured body, the head a decent sized beige blanket. Boozy from the start with a mix fruit bowl drizzled with malty molasses as a base aroma and taste, yummy and completely the wrong beer for a quick lunchtime drink (luckily I had downed a Weak Lager before ordering this), but I like Bootlegger beers and Barley Wines and I wasn’t driving. madmitch76 (24378) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 30, 2016

Hazy deep amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy, a little soft and has reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts bring some toffee - cream. Mild caramel. Little spicy aniseed alcohol and a touch of brandy. Ripe fruits before a warming spicy finish. Decent.
This smells really good, like molasses and hops, with a nice appearance. The flavor is thick and caramelly but just ok bhensonb (15093) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 30, 2015
Bomber from Craft Beer Kings. Pours ruddy/orange with a creamy beige head. Aroma is really nice toffe with hints of unusual fruits. Full bodied. Flavor is ttoffee/treacle/fruity. Heat barely detectable. Excellent, tasty ale. marcus (10145) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAR 30, 2015
Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours orange amber with an attractive beige head and a fruity toffee aroma. There is a hearty bitter malt flavor with some dark molasses and a warm alcohol trail.

Bottle... Pours cloudy and singed caramel-colored with a fleeting, white head. The aroma delivers a malty mélange of sweet dark fruits, caramel, fruitcake and sweetbread. Full-bodied with lazy carbonation. The flavor is bittersweet, boasting dark fruits, caramel, toffee and marmalade. Trends bitter and leaves a resiny, bitter aftertaste. Bottle courtesy of richiesd! Sample at GABF 10/04/2014, thanks to my BIL for assistance with note-taking. Clear dark amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Partial ring of lacing. Aroma of malt, pine and hops. Full-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, pine and earthy hops. The finish is malty and fruity. Pretty good overall. slowrunner77 (11917) - Reno, Nevada, USA - AUG 15, 2014
Nice carmel malty backbone and a plethora of arthy spicy hops. Not quite up to par with the better barleywines out there (surprisingly small bodied for 11.3%) but pleasant. Bittersweet finish."
