Named after its golden color and effervescence, the complex yet smooth tast of Golden Chaos lives up to its name! Golden Chaos is a Belgian style golden ale made from fresh imported German and English hops, brewed using the finest American rock candy, giving this fine ale a fruity aroma taste that leads to a surprisingly dry finish. The subtle notes of plum, apricot, and pear achieve a perfect balance of fruitiness, spiciness, and hoppiness.

The beer has a fruity aroma with a little bit of spice. Taste is refreshing with some apricot and pears. Slight hoppiness that provides a nice balance.

bottle... dark gold, very dark in the center, a light white head forms a thin cap but not much to look at here... by just the name without reading the description I figured this was a Belgian beer, but it smells German with the hops and yeast, too much yeast for me, not enough sweetness to balance out, a faint whisp of apricots on the back... the taste is shockingly light, the yeast and hops are gone, mostly sweet especially on the finish, really to drink for the abv but a touch boring to condone getting again or having to yourself

Rich golden pour, with a nice white head. Aroma is strong on the stone fruit, honey, wheat thins, yeasty esthers. Flavor is sweet, lots of peaches in syrup, yeast, and crackers.

On tap at the source. Pours out a hazy orange yellow with a fast disappearing head. Smells of bubble gum yeasts bananas and pears. Tastes a little sweet with hints of spices. Different form most all other Belgium strong ales. A decent brew and I certainly like to support my local brewers.

Barreras (1642) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - MAR 6, 2011
ours a golden yellow color with aroma of hops, fruit and spice. Taste of dry sweet fruit that leads to a dry finish. A smooth golden ale that packs a punch with its 8.5 % alcohol content. Even though it contains a high alcohol content, its a very smooth, subtle tasting beer.

11-Jan-10 (750-ml corked and caged bottle: Purchased 30-Dec-09 for $7.99 at the Pizza Port Bottle Shop in Carlsbad, CA) While the beer style may dictate a fancy, cork and cage bottle, Im not sure the beer inside is worthy. Malty and sweet in flavor, theres a fairly prominent note of breadiness running throughout that grows tiring very quickly. It has a very fruity core, with ripe banana, apple, tangerine and fresh apricot, plus bubble gum and spices as well. The complex and enticing aroma is malty, biscuity, and sweet, with clove, cinnamon, cardamom, ripe tropical and stone fruits, raisin and pear. Medium-full bodied into the finish, sweet yet somewhat dry and dusty, and highly carbonated and expansive in the mouth. Not an attractive beer in the glass, it pours a cloudy, orange color, and the large-bubbled head dissipates immediately during the pour. A decent beer, but the overall impression isnt all that noteworthy.
