11-Jan-10 (750-ml corked and caged bottle: Purchased 30-Dec-09 for $7.99 at the Pizza Port Bottle Shop in Carlsbad, CA) While the beer style may dictate a fancy, cork and cage bottle, I’m not sure the beer inside is worthy. Malty and sweet in flavor, there’s a fairly prominent note of breadiness running throughout that grows tiring very quickly. It has a very fruity core, with ripe banana, apple, tangerine and fresh apricot, plus bubble gum and spices as well. The complex and enticing aroma is malty, biscuity, and sweet, with clove, cinnamon, cardamom, ripe tropical and stone fruits, raisin and pear. Medium-full bodied into the finish, sweet yet somewhat dry and dusty, and highly carbonated and expansive in the mouth. Not an attractive beer in the glass, it pours a cloudy, orange color, and the large-bubbled head dissipates immediately during the pour. A decent beer, but the overall impression isn’t all that noteworthy. wnoble (1251) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - DEC 12, 2010
Bottle from my friend Robert. Golden as indicated with a small head. Nose is spicy belgian yeast, malts, cereal. Taste is spicy yeast, malts, breads, cereal, light phenols, some banana, clove, and other various fruits. Palate is light and spritzy on the tounge. Very nice Belgian. Bottle at the Funky 6. Pours a lightly cloudy orange with a small, off-white head. Belgian sugar aroma with some apple and spice. Sweet flavor with plenty of caramel, spices and some nice hoppiness. Medium to full in body with average carbonation and definite warmth. Finishes with lingering fruits and coriander. Nice beer. JohnnyJ (5569) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 9, 2010
750 ml bottle. Depending on where you are at in the bottle, it’s a clear gold, to hazy golden brown, white head. Banana sweetness, light apple and citrus in the background, yeast, and light bread. The body is rather heavy, but the carbonation is sharp, which gave off an interesting effect, which I didn’t really like. It’s OK, not great. Bottle. Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Clear light golden color. Aroma of mild citrus and fruity, light grainy. Over the palate came floral, mild bread and hint of toasted malt. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with light bitterness. Lingering sweet malty finish.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a light tan head. Aroma is underripe fruits, bubblegum and spice. Flavor is more of the same. Really a typical Belgian golden ale, but well executed. Sweeter than normal, full bodied and strong carbonation. fonefan (51126) - VestJylland, DENMARK - APR 7, 2010
