Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy, off-white head. Lots of fairly dank hops in the aroma, some melon, grapefruit. Medium sweet falvour with loads more dank hop character, big on the melon, oily pine, grapefruit, some sweet pale bread. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately sweet and resinous on the finish, with mellow pine spice, sticky melon and papaya, more grapefruit. Very tasty. Quite rich, but still highly drinkable. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 13, 2014

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy orange amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out big time caramel malts, syrupy notes, and some resinous hops. Flavour is very much on the sweeter side, bringing out loads of caramel, red fruits, and loads of resinous hops. Not overly bitter or one-sided in the hops. Usually I’m not a big fan of such sweet IPAs, but this is wonderfully balanced. Excellent stuff. jtclockwork (16581) - , New Jersey, USA - NOV 20, 2012
Bottle. Pours reddish amber with white head. Nose and taste of tree bark, caramel malt, tree sap, resinous pine, dried citrus rind, orange peel and perfumy hops. A bit too perfumy for me. Medium body. Finishes dry resin/tree bark. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - MAR 4, 2010
A: The pour is a clear amber color with a fluffy off-white head and great lacing.
S: A quick whiff gives one a blast of fresh citrus hops. Plenty of grapefruit and a touch of pineapple work wonderfully with the pine character.
T: The flavor is wonderfully balanced (in a west coast sort of way). The bitter and piney hops are the star of the show with plenty of grapefruit to go along with it. There is an ever so slight touch of caramel malt to go along with it.
M: The body is medium with a moderate level of carbonation and a dry finish--fairly standard here.
D: I would never have guessed that this is 10% ABV. Such an easy drinking and wonderfully hoppy DIPA.
