Golden orange in color with a light haze and a white head. Grapefruit and pine hop aromas from the get go. Lots of pineapple and a touch of tangerine, too. Mild bread and malt notes. The flavor is like many Bootlegger’s IPAs: quite bitter and dry. Big pine flavor and quite a bit of grapefruit and citrus peel, too. Not as much in the way of pineapple. Just a touch of malt sweetness. Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - JUN 15, 2012
15 June 2012, tap at bootleggers. Nut brown, clear, no bubbles. Grapefruit rind hops on the nose. Thin body and moderately fizzy. Lots of grapefruit rind bitterness. Slightly oily. West coast IPA with a bit more body. Rather bitter finish but doesn’t last long.
