Sample at Craft Tap House. Cloudy yellow color with a thin white head that burns away steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing. Floral and fruity aroma with malt in the background. Flavors of wheat, lemongrass and malt. The finish is floral with a citrus and wheat aftertaste. Decent overall. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 31, 2015
Draught at the brewpub in Fullerton, California. Hazy yellow beer with a nice lasting white head. Fruity grassy citrus aroma, hay, lemongrass, bready, some perfume. Spicy citrus flavor, lemongrass, hay, bready, caramel, some floral notes. Quite ok. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - NOV 14, 2014
On tap at the Beer Baron. It pours a very pale hazy yellow color with a big white head. The aroma is as advertised with fresh wheat and lemongrass citrus. The flavor is effervescent and refreshing with orange, wheat and not as much lemongrass. Very crisp and clean, not doughy or over spiced. Delicious stuff. arminjewell (9672) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - OCT 30, 2013
Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy yellow pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of big lemon, grass, and spice notes going into some white fruits, white grape, touch of biscuit and cracker in there. Taste is a mix of white fruit, pear, white grape, into some lemon, herbal notes come through with a touch of grass, spice, coriander, finishing fairly sweet, slightly spicy. Pours cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, wheat, coriander, citrus, orange and hint of banana. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with a long wheat, coriander and orange finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
On tap at the taproom. As Lemongrass White. It pours an unclear yellow to golden body and a small white head. The aroma is sweetish orangey, some lemon in the back. Wheat malt, some citrus and a little banana in the flavor. Not much bitterness. Medium body, nice carbonation. Short fruity finish. Very boring this one. 130812 Geokkjer (7627) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 12, 2013

21 June 2013, tap at the tasting room. Light, milky yellow. Nose is like slightly tart lemons and muffins. Thin, slightly creamy, mildly fizzy. Like a sugary hefe but a bit "young." Nice and refreshing. jkwalking05 (4740) - Arlington, Texas, USA - FEB 28, 2013
Tasted in 2009 (backlog). Light yellow with a small white head. Aroma is lemon, lemongrass, grain. taste is lemon, grain and yeast. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 1, 2011
A: The pour on this one is a hazy pale yellow color with a massive white head.
S: The lemongrass aroma is really almost overpowering. Lots of coriander is in there as well. A bit of wheat and bread, but they’re sort of drowned out by everything else. Light citrus peel and some white pepper.
T: A lot of citrus peel flavor and a strong woody, lemongrass flavor. There is a nice sweetness of wheat bread and a nice bit of sweet spices and esters. Just a hint of pepper and maybe even a hint of vanilla.
M: The body is medium and the carbonation is a bit on the high side.
O: A lot better than my previous Bootlegger’s-lemongrass experience. Not something I’d drink a ton of, but good.

A: The pour is a hazy light golden color with a small white head on top.
S: Certainly an interesting aroma to this beer. The lemongrass really comes through to give it sort of woody/grassy aroma and at the same time a nice hit of citrus (not surprising). There is also wheat, a bit of spice, and some floral notes. A lot going on, some might say too much.
T: The flavor is definitely full of citrus (lemon and orange) and is very noticeable on the front end. The wheat comes through in the middle, with the usual spice and yeast of a witbier coming out at the finish.
M: A nice medium bodied beer with lively carbonation.
D: Bootlegger’s is really doing a lot of "different" stuff and I commend them for it. This is a beer that I found to be nice to try, but I don’t know if I’d drink bottle after bottle of it.
