Pours a cloudy gold with a white head. Aroma is banana, wheat, earthy, crisp, clove. Taste is wheaty, banana, citrus, grass. I’m not big on Hefeweizen in general, so I didn’t love this. Doesn’t make it a bad beer. Overall, pretty plain for a hefe. dukeredhair (243) - California, USA - OCT 6, 2012
Very middle of the road offering. not as offensive to the term "hefeweizen" as most american takes but you’d be better of just getting a german hefe without a doubt. Aroma is light banana/ clove. Appearance is somewhat cloudy yellow with loose bubbles. Taste is sweet and middle of the road. palate isn’t very silky for a hefe. overall there are a bunch of better options out there, don’t waste your time. bradbrenner15 (1) - California, USA - AUG 30, 2012 does not count
Par for the course. I’d expect a Hef to be a little more cloudy. Reminds me a little of Franzikaner. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 6, 2012
Lightly cloudy gold pour, white head. Aroma has a very strong clove smell with some banana and wheat. Flavor has the cloves as well and a yeasty, wheaty finish. Peacehammer (624) - California, USA - JUL 8, 2012
hazy gold with creamy white head. Big Clove aroma. Smooth and easy drinking. The banana and clove notes shine through in a basic way. Easy to drink a lot of in the summer.

Pours a murky dark gold color with just a thin head forming on top. The aroma is nice; full of cloves, cinnamon and herbal spice, banana, and some wheat. It’s good going down too. Light-bodied, lightly spiced, with plent of citrus, most notably banana, yeast, and soft vanilla notes. A solid refreshing choice on a hot day. arminjewell (9664) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 21, 2012
Pour out of 22 oz bottle thanks to Aaron for the pour! Hazy orange with nice fluffy white head, aroma brought notes of nice banana, caramel, toffee, hints of clove and spice, hints of coriander, slight peach notes as well. Taste is a mix of nice caramel, biscuit, touch of sweet banana and peach, nice vanilla notes mixing with slight spice, finishing fairly sweet but very tasty. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 21, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 17, 2013 Bottle @ home. Cloudy yellow orange appearance with a white head. Delicious, spicy yeasty, rich banana, nice wheat malty aroma. Tasty, a touch tart, rich wheat malty, delicious banana, kick ass vanilla flavor that is refreshing and not over the top. One of the better American versions of a German Hefeweizen out there. Almost a banana bread nose, but like day old banana bread; not in an unpleasant way. What a murky bitch this one is... Good flavor, banana, some clove, decent carb - it has a bit of lingering sweetness remaining. It lacks the creamy mouthfeel and runs a bit watery for the style. Still a good beer, just not great. **the smell I couldn’t figure out was cream corn... DMS Gachupines (1252) - USA - MAR 28, 2012
Hazy yellow color with a nice white head. Aroma is banana and cloves. Flavor is big banana and yeast. Finish is a little sweet. Overall, solid hefe, definitely better than most but not my favorite.
