2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very middle of the road offering. not as offensive to the term "hefeweizen" as most american takes but you’d be better of just getting a german hefe without a doubt. Aroma is light banana/ clove. Appearance is somewhat cloudy yellow with loose bubbles. Taste is sweet and middle of the road. palate isn’t very silky for a hefe. overall there are a bunch of better options out there, don’t waste your time.
Bottle at the United Club at John Wayne Airport (SNA). Pours a deep copper color with very little head. Strong, banana aroma with some malts and lemon zest. Smooth taste with a strong banana presence. I like this Hefe. Summery feeling with every sip. BlackHaddock (7235) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 25, 2016
12oz bottle in the sun on 23rd May 2016, poured into a Corsendonk badged tulip glass on my daughters patio in Southern California, about 20 miles from the brewery. Cloudy orange/amber bodied, creamy coloured head. Banana aroma and taste with a yeasty and slightly orange undertone. Nice and refreshing, one of the best ’American Hefeweizen’ I have had. UPDATED: JAN 17, 2017 Sampled on draught. A hazy dark orange with a white head. Bready yeast taste with plenty of orange peel and ripe banana. Pleasant and refreshing. Not particularly spicy but not bad.
Sampled again one year later, and I found it fresh-tasting and highly drinkable, and have upped my rating accordingly. Idiosynkrasie (7440) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - AUG 8, 2015
355ml bottle. Cloudy, dark orangey colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Ester fruity aroma, hints of peach and banana. Identical taste. Lacks some yeasty spiciness to fully meet the style. madmitch76 (24511) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 12, 2015

Hazy amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is dry and crispy. Tangy yeast and tangy orange. Spicy banana undertone. Light dry finish. Pretty drinkable.
On tap at the source. Pours hazy yellow with a creamy white head. Aroma is yeasty bready. Flavor follows with some lemons and a little tartness. Refreshing.

[2/18/15] Draught at Bootlegger’s Brewery in Fullerton. Nice cloudy yellow with a white head. Pleasant classic aroma with banana and clove. Sweetish flavor, wheaty, fruity and spicy. Medium-bodied. vikingguy (1101) - Carver, Minnesota, USA - FEB 22, 2015
Drank in Anaheim. What you'd expect on a quality hef. Cloudy yellow, taste was creamy, wheaty and fruity.

Well-crafted and can really taste the all-natural all-original recipe. It's an unfiltered beer and there was definitely stuff floating in my beer. Feels like a beer-drinker's 312.
