Thanks to mobz24 for this intriguing bonus beer in a recent trade. 750 ml bottle served into a Belgian tulip glass. Cloudy amber-brown with nice healthy head. Fruity and floral aromas with a bit of alcohol presence.
Plums, cherries and prunes accent the beer, but not over the top. Slighty sweet (not tart) with some Belgian yeast charactertics. A little bitterness in the finish. Heavy carbonation, medium to full bodied. Very pleasant beer to have and would certainly have another if it were available. Plums give it a unique flavor, but not overly sweet or fruity. Very smooth and easy to drink - I’m thinking it would pair well with a citrus salad or perhaps pork with baked apples. deadoralive (11) - California, USA - JAN 5, 2010
Pours dark with a big plum hue. Lots of fruit in this one. I’d drink this all night long. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - JUN 3, 2011
Sampled on tap on 6/3/2011 at Bruery Provisions. This fruit beer pours a medium amber orange color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, some yeast and a hint of plums. A medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are fruity and sweet, touch of plums and yeasts. The hops are herbal. Mild carbonation. The plum flavors really show up at the finish. Interesting beer, nice combination of fruit beer and Belgian ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. can8ianben (1556) - State College, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 28, 2009
Sampled an early pilot batch of this before it was officially released. Flecs of plum were noticeable then set against an orange/red color. Fruity and bitter and very pleasant. I really enjoyed the creativity that this one had. keidjxz (184) - Fullerton, California, USA - AUG 30, 2009
Growler purchased from the brewery. Opaque amber color with a light head. Flavor of a quality abbey double with a hint of fruit and a sweet aftertaste.

Hazy apricot color, not much of a head. Aroma of brown sugar, plums, lots of yeasty notes. Flavor is sweet, syrupy, plums come through in the flavor a bit. GothGargoyle (2587) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 23, 2016
Cloudy Amber with a light tan head. Aroma is plum, brown sugar, dates, prunes. Medium bodied, lightly sticky mouthfeel, sweet and fruity on the palate. Taste is plum, brown sugar, hint of quince jelly. elihapa (1554) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - JUL 18, 2009
7/4/09 notes: On tap at brewery. Pours darker than most Belgians, probably due to the plum addition. Nose is fruity sweet, with hints of bubble gum. Flavor starts mellow with some upfront spice, then moves gradually sweeter to a plum-fruity finish. Remains a smooth drink throughout. A solid concoction, well executed and tasty.
