Bottle @ home via trade with OCBeerSociety. Thanks! Pours a hazy golden appearance with a cream colored head. Spicy rye, slightly dull bready, mild grapefruity aroma. Somewhat juicy, grapefruity, orange cream sickle, fairly sweet, dull bready, bitter herbal hoppy flavor. Doesn’t taste super fresh but not sure I’d enjoy it much more even if it was fresh. 12 oz bottle from Whole Foods - Arroyo (Pasadena). Amber color, hazy. Off white head with good retention & lacing. Aroma’s: resinous, malty sweet, with citrus, sour fruit and earthy hops retronasal. Flavor is medium bitter with a light grainish malty sweetnees. Medium bodied. Finishes with a long lasting firm earthy bitterness. Not very subtle but nice anyway. Bomber from K & L Liquors, Hollywood. Handsome pour of bright golden-orange, with a nice billowy head and silky carbonation. Nose is rustic, grainy, and nicely dry, with a healthy undercurrent of potent tropical hops. Buoyant mouthfeel, solid carbonation. The rye and the grainy flavors combine with the hops to give this a moderately spicy feel, almost like an earthy but very well-hopped saison in places. Very enjoyable brew. A golden brown color on the pour with a foamy head. Hints of floral and light citrus flavors and a bold but tasty ending of hope to finish the drink. hombrepalo (1971) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 20, 2012

On tap at the brewery during RBSG 2012. Typical golden color with a white head. Slightly candied malt flavors with subtle fruity hops. The rye gives it a nice full body but it’s not super evident in the flavor. Tends toward sweet.
