Our latest addition to our year-round lineup. For you hop heads out there, you have to try this! This American style IPA made with rye grain tops the charts at over 85 IBU (that’s a lot of bitter!). It’s starts with floral hop notes a big malty body hinting at the underlying rye grain and finishes with a nice clean bitterness.

Tap at Bootleggers. Low haze orange pour. Nose is thick toffee, full grain, oatmeal, honeycomb. Very dense and thick. Taste is balanced, thick, rich, very malt forward without any sugary sweetness. Oatmeal, rye, and honey bring a super silky palate. Really good stuff.

Golden ipa with decent warmth from alcohol, diminished finish, minimal body. Not my favorite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle in Breck with friends and family. Pour is clear amber with a fluffy off-white head and great lacing. Smell is distinct spicy rye, floral, soapy, earthy hops, bread, and light Citrus. Very smooth IPA and well-balanced. Flavors of spicy bread, caramel, earthy hops, grapefruit, and a light bitter finish. Mouthfeel is light with medium carbonation. Pretty straightforward and somewhat simple; nothing to look forward to, still not bad.

dark orange with a ton of foamy white head. Distinct rye aroma and some zesty hops on the nose as well. Flavor is dominated by rye. Medium light body

22oz bomber pours clear copper with tan head. The aroma is kind of sweet and floral with a slight soapy sugary cotton candy sensation in the background. The taste is pretty spicy with hoppiness and spicy rye like notes. Around the edges are modest notes of sugary malts, floral hops and then it rolls into a bit of soapy to resiny bitter notes. Ok IPA, not something I would seek out.

(bottle from Saarlander!). Pours slightly hazy amber with chunky off-white head. Nice carbonation and nice lacing left behind. Aroma is pine, spice, resin, and some grapefruit. Taste is sweet with more spice and bitterness. Lighter bodied with a dry, bitter finish. An easy drinker that would make for a good session.

Good rye. Copper/amber color with a fluffy white head. Floral hops on the nose. Spiced citrus palate with a perfect malt/hop balance. Long finish.

Bomber from Bevmo Oxnard. Nose is rye bread, buttery caramel, and light citrus. Clear copper orange with a medium beige head. Flavor is bitter with caramel and lemony accents. Not much in the way of bitterness or hoppiness.

Slight citrus and earthy hops accompanied by some subtle doughy malts. Pours a deep golden color with a huge foam top. Taste is a pleasant malt and hop combo with slight carbonation. Primarily leafy and floral hops with a nutty, bready malt to it. Slight syrup texture with a spicey finish. Overall, this is a very tastey IPA with some nice hoppy flavor. I’d give this an B+ rating.

Extra sent from Pat. 22 oz bomber. Pours a nice orange with a cascading white fluffy head. Smell is of hops and faintly of fruit(s). The hops smell crisp but not very pungent. Has some nice lacing and tastes decent. Nothing too amazing but this is my first bootlegger’s beer and I am happy to have it. The citrus isn’t too dominant in the flavor but it is bitter and leaves you wanting more. Good mouth feel though.
