Orangish pour, white head. Nice citrus and lightly spiced aroma. Some yeast and caramel. Flavor is a little malt heavy, caramel, grapefruit peel, and some lemony tartness. Thanks Johnc! hopscotch (11322) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 19, 2011
Bottle... Hazy amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Spicy rye and caramel malts construct an aroma based on fruity apricot and peach-like hops. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with moderate carbonation. Great balance. Plenty of honey and toffee malts accompany flavorful spicy grains and fuzzy fruit hops. Crisp, bittersweet finish. kp (10880) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - AUG 9, 2009

Appearance: opaque burnt orange, frothy beige head, lots of drippy lace
Aroma: dry crystal malt aroma, lots of floral and earthy hops, light lemony solvent character
Flavor: sweet and tart flavor, citrus plays between the sweet and the tart, rye adds a dryness, slightly soapy, long bitterness along with a touch of astrengency
Aroma: 5/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 3/10; Palate: 7/10; Overall: 6/20
Bottle from bhensonb. Pours clear golden with a modest off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a medium-bodied rye and caramel malt flavor with significant hop bitterness. The malt is a bit thin, otherwise a decent IPA.

Bottle @ home via trade with OCBeerSociety. Thanks! Pours a hazy golden appearance with a cream colored head. Spicy rye, slightly dull bready, mild grapefruity aroma. Somewhat juicy, grapefruity, orange cream sickle, fairly sweet, dull bready, bitter herbal hoppy flavor. Doesn’t taste super fresh but not sure I’d enjoy it much more even if it was fresh. olio (10601) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 24, 2016
355 ml bottle. KimJohansen (10497) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - NOV 23, 2009
Pours clear golden color with a large white head. Malty and somewhat grainy aroma, very subtle resin notes, some orange and mild hops. Grainy and dry malty flavor, not much fruits here, mild oily hop notes, some bitterness. Usually Rye IPAs are too malty and grainy for my taste and so is this.
Cloudy orange with a medium off white head. Hoppy aroma with hints of lacto and malty notes. Flavour was hoppy with lacto and malty notes. Finished sour. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 25, 2012
Tap at Bootleggers. Low haze orange pour. Nose is thick toffee, full grain, oatmeal, honeycomb. Very dense and thick. Taste is balanced, thick, rich, very malt forward without any sugary sweetness. Oatmeal, rye, and honey bring a super silky palate. Really good stuff. blipp (9794) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 20, 2013
Bottle. Pours orange with a white head. Faint rye malts, a hint of sweetness, lighter floral notes, and light fruity notes. Balanced and drinkable; not bad.
