Our latest addition to our year-round lineup. For you hop heads out there, you have to try this! This American style IPA made with rye grain tops the charts at over 85 IBU (that’s a lot of bitter!). It’s starts with floral hop notes a big malty body hinting at the underlying rye grain and finishes with a nice clean bitterness.

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, rye, citrus and grape. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long malty, spicy and fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

hopscotch (11526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 19, 2011
Bottle... Hazy amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Spicy rye and caramel malts construct an aroma based on fruity apricot and peach-like hops. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with moderate carbonation. Great balance. Plenty of honey and toffee malts accompany flavorful spicy grains and fuzzy fruit hops. Crisp, bittersweet finish.

marcus (11077) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 18, 2013
Bottle from bhensonb. Pours clear golden with a modest off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a medium-bodied rye and caramel malt flavor with significant hop bitterness. The malt is a bit thin, otherwise a decent IPA.

olio (10821) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 24, 2016
355 ml bottle.
Pours clear golden color with a large white head. Malty and somewhat grainy aroma, very subtle resin notes, some orange and mild hops. Grainy and dry malty flavor, not much fruits here, mild oily hop notes, some bitterness. Usually Rye IPAs are too malty and grainy for my taste and so is this.

cubs (10745) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 4, 2013
Bottle @ home via trade with OCBeerSociety. Thanks! Pours a hazy golden appearance with a cream colored head. Spicy rye, slightly dull bready, mild grapefruity aroma. Somewhat juicy, grapefruity, orange cream sickle, fairly sweet, dull bready, bitter herbal hoppy flavor. Doesn’t taste super fresh but not sure I’d enjoy it much more even if it was fresh.

KimJohansen (10498) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - NOV 23, 2009
Cloudy orange with a medium off white head. Hoppy aroma with hints of lacto and malty notes. Flavour was hoppy with lacto and malty notes. Finished sour.
