A steady pour into my New Belgium globe glass produces a ½-finger thick, pale, off-white colored head. The beer is a pale amber / gold color that shows a pale, hazy, straw-gold hue when held up to the light. The nose smells surprisingly, and strongly of cinnamon; despite knowing beforehand that cinnamon was used in this beer, it is still very surprising given how overwhelming it is up front (clearly a light hand was not used here). It is very hard to smell anything but cinnamon, perhaps there is a hint of dried hay like wheat / grain character, but this is hard to pick out, and more just barely tempers the cinnamon notes towards the finish, rather than being noticeable distinctly on its own.
Quite light bodied, refreshing, effervescent, almost water-like in texture. The beer is quite dry, though it has a touch of perceived sweetness due to the cinnamon. Without much in the way of malt sweetness, the cinnamon flavors are a bit muted as compared to the nose, but it is still easily the dominant flavor here; from the start through to the long lingering finish the cinnamon just coats the palate. Other flavors play a distance, tertiary role behind the cinnamon and the cinnamon; there is perhaps a hint of dry, straw like grain character, a hint more of cracker like malt notes, and really not much else.
Excessively one dimensional, having said that, if you like cinnamon, then this is cinnamon in beer form. I don’t overly mind cinnamon, and so this is drinkable; it does get boring really quickly though, but it is so light bodied and quaffable on this unseemingly warm Tucson night that I drink more of it than I expected, before moving on to something else.
Lightly hazed yellow pour, small white head. I do get the dessert flavors in the beer. A bit heavy on the cinnamon, but not too bad. Some butterscotch notes, creamy and tasty. Nothing earth shattering, but easy sipping and refreshing. wildbeercat (356) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - APR 8, 2014

Super delicious stuff. Definitely a lot of cinnamon flavor, but not too much. There’s a little hint of caramel and coconut, too; it reminded me of coconut longboys candy, except with a nice amount of cinnamon.
Lighter bodied, but not watery at all. Mildly sweet, moderately spicy, with a decent length on the finish. Quite delicious. I wouldn’t say "refreshing", because it is mildly sticky and a wee bit sweet. Sledutah (7724) - Utah, USA - APR 19, 2013
