Boréale Blonde is made from a pale malt of premium, two-row barley that gives it a luminous colour and velvety flavour. Selected hops add a crisp and refreshing bitter harmony to the mellow notes.

Bouteille de 341 ml, couleur jaune clair, avec une mousse très discrète. Le malt est très présent au nez et en bouche. Désaltérant, encore meilleur avec des chips All dress.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2017 Good beer, surprisingly better than expected. A good backup when in doubt. Disappointing to see the Polar Edition to be the same as this.

Bottle from local iga grocery A: light cereal, honeyed malt. App: clear pale sparring white head. T/p: med body with short bitter finish. Soft to moderate carbonation. O: A bit boring and watery. The beer geek in me would have enjoyed more malt support. Easy and refreshing.

Slightly hazy golden color with low activity. A boring foamy white 2 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with poor lacing. Flavors of caramel, sweet roasted grains, coriander, lemon, herbal spices. Bready and sugary, slightly sharp on the herbal side. Slick medium body with soft prickly and crispy carbonation. Light to medium strength finish, fresh wheat and barley feel, toffee, and balanced leafy hops. Basic but refreshing, nice intensity with no adjunct feel. Good taste and a satisfying body. Overall good quality craft.

341ml bottle. Pour clear golden with a non lasting small white head. Aroma is shy, but it’s from light malt and pretty mainstream. Body is thin but in the style, very soft carbonation. Light bitterness from the discret hops. Medium finish. Refreshing and well done.

Bottle, 341mL. Home. Kindly given by my parents ; bought during a trip at "Vendée Globe". Merci ! A clear golden beer with a big white head ; good retention ; ok lacing. Grain, light vegetable, herbal note. Light sweet, light dry bitter refreshing. Light body, watery texture, average to soft carbonation, dry short grainy finish. Overall, poor.

can courtesy of magnetic mathieuc, thanks bro. pours clear bright gold with a small creamy white head offering some retention and lacing. classic fruity honeyed boreal malts, relatively fresh cereals, chalky lightly astringent herbs, thin butter slice, softly bitter clementine peel. moderate carbonation, thin but watery; relatively dry citrusy finish. boréale doée reminiscence, just thinner with a tiny supplementary hop infusion. it could stick to its polar label for its honey, tea and herbs infused concoction. a lot more honey than butter, guys. o-k.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2016 Can (355 ml) at home. As "Boréale Édition Polaire" sold at SAQ. Thanks to mathieuc for this can! Clear pale green-ish golden with a small white head leaving some lacing. Aroma of wet grains, butter, caramel and herbal notes. Taste is of sweet cereals, wet grains / borderline skunk, butter, caramel and light bitterness. Light-medium body. Moderate carbonation. Bland finish. Did they send a batch of something that went wrong to the SAQ instead of throwing it down the drain? I don’t know, but the beer is now thrown down the drain where it belong. Awful.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2016 New SAQ exclusive release. Pours a super clear golden with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose isn’t centered around hops to say the least despite the "Pale Ale" moniker. More like some sweet cereals, caramel and even some buttery angles (WTF?). A little floral but still a long shot from being described as "hoppy". Taste is more of the same, ugh. Lightly bitter with a lot of caramel/butterscotch. Body is medium, carbonation moderate. Well, that was awkward. I’ll use the other cans to cook... Garbage.

Can. Pours a clear golden with a really small white head that fades into a small rim that leaves good lacing. Nose is of fruits and cereals, simple but as advertised. Taste is of fruits and a little cardboard (how old is this?), not really sweet but not 100% dry. Cereals show up again in the flavor. Body is light to medium and carbonation moderately high. Light bitterness and drying sensation from the carb. Overall a middle of the road kind of beer. Not sure why I’d drink that except if there is nothing else around.
