AYCAYIA is a collaboration of Borg Brugghús (IS) and Cigar City Brewing (US), from Tampa, Florida – brewed in Reykjavík in the autumn of 2016. This 7% India Pale Ale is extremely tropical, fresh and accessible.
Among the Neo-Taino nations of the Caribbean, the Aycayia was a mermaid in which its name means "she with a lovely voice". She was known to be seductive and sexually generous, being the incarnation of beauty and of sin who gave men pleasure but robbed them of free will. She would often times be "visited" by the men seduced by her beauty. The name of this exotic ale refers to what the two very different cities have in common; the ocean.

Backlog. Bottle at Fishmarket Restaurant. I was wondering if we could get a good fruity IPA in Iceland so I tried this one. The bottle serves a dark orange color with white head. Aromas are tropical fruits, pineapple, mango, citrus. Taste is quite dry, nice grapefruit bitterness with pineapple, passion fruits, mangos, citrusy. The best IPA I had in Iceland!

330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Slightly hazy amber color. Medium size, off-white head, stays. Jammy, malty, citrus, fruity, sweet in aroma. Jammy, apples, malty, citrus and herbal in taste. Jammy and apples in aftertaste. Covers alcohol quite well. Harsh bitterness. Fizzy carbonation. Barely drinkable brew.

330ml bottle (Pothouse, Tallinn)

Eww, stinky stodgy APA aroma. Taste is rice pudding, milky, creamy, a bit fruity. Full palate, a bit slick. Finish is dirty resiny bitterness. Covers the alcohol i guess, which is about as positive as I can be. Nasty brew.

suurjuust (3811) - ESTONIA - DEC 10, 2016
330ml bottle. Hazy golden beer, white head. Nose is tropical fruit, peach, hops, malt, toasty notes. Flavor is malts, toast, fruit, citrus, malt, straw. Finish is hops, citric notes, some bitterness. Decent.
