Dashimus' rating

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 14/20
Dashimus (248) - London, Greater London, - JUN 2, 2013
Bottle from Vinbud in Reykjavik. Pours dark brown with a thick, firm caramel tan head which fades quickly and leaves a small amount of lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate and some coffee and wood. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitterness and lively carbonation which ends in a long finish.

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 25, 2017
Pours a dark brown body with a nice one finger foamy brown head. The nose is pretty solid, chocolate malt with a light smokiness and a little burnt malt, a light hint of leafy hops. The flavor is just as solid, probably the best Iceland beer I had on my trip. Chocolaty and roasty, just a slight sweetness up front, light bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied with light fizzy carbonation. Good stuff.

ShivanDragon (4086) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - MAY 25, 2017
Ik geloof er niets van, dit is gewoon een fuck-up, infected coffee beer, so let’s put some more coffee in it, don’t sell this shit if it’s infected !!!

Taboada (1300) - Compostela (Galiza), - MAY 24, 2017
Tasted from the tap on the 10/05/2017. Black colour with big brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa nibs and chocolate. Taste is medium cocoa and intense roasted malts. Dry and sweet aftertaste. Next one please!

TBone (17442) - Pori, FINLAND - MAY 4, 2017
Bottled at M/s Megastar Sea Pub. Dark brown color, mostly vanishing beige head. Medium-bodied. Light roastyness, coffee. Clean easy drinker.

rostetti (370) - Oulu, FINLAND - APR 28, 2017
Bottle. Pours black with beige head. Aroma and taste have licorice, coffee and roasted malt. I think the taste is a bit unbalanced. Very boring porter.

solidfunk (8838) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - APR 24, 2017
Roast and some nut like that last bit before hibernation in Iceland. Black pour with good head and lacing. Tap at Skuli.

Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 23, 2017
Bit cloudy, medium brown, thin bubbly head. The aroma has an odd mix of coffee roast and unfortunate phenols. As it warms, those blow off. On the palate, coffee and a fair bit of tartness. The coffee is simple roast, the malts underneath of it are a bit thin. The coffee is mediocre and the base beer to thin to make anything of it.

dmac (6215) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - APR 8, 2017
11.2 Oz bottle shared by Joe. Poured an ugly muddy brown with a smaller foamy off white head. Aroma of oxidation, honey, syrupy sweetness, chocolate, wax pape. Flavor is the same plus some honeycomb and older dark fruits, plum, prune, fig. Medium body and average carbonation.

minihame2 (623) - Oulu, FINLAND - MAR 31, 2017
Black colour with a creamy tan head. Aroma has roasted malts and black coffee. Taste is bitter and it has some malts but it’s quite mild and the aftertaste is watery. Medium body with creamy mouthfeel, below medium carbonation. Promising porter from the aroma and appearance but the taste is lacking.

Desverger (11122) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 21, 2017
[email protected], Copenhagen - Black pour with tan ringed head. Sweet and roasted malty, with some earthy charred singed malty notes, some cocoa, coffee roast, ashy charred finish.
