Dashimus (230) - London, Greater London, - MAY 25, 2013
Draft at Grillmarkadurinn Restaurant, Reykjavík. Pours a moderately hazy yellow golden with a generous white head that is persistent. Aroma is interesting, floral, spicy and herby. Struggling to be more exact than that. Spice is obvious on the tongue. Flavour is very dry and long in the finish. Medium bodied with minimal carbonation.

Bottled November 4, 2016, drunk 11/28/16.
Good clarity in this brassy-to-light cola-tinged amber body. Beige head fades quickly to cover. Some light sediment left behind in the bottle; that’s encouraging.
Light pepper and rosemary-like notes in the nose are quite enjoyable. I think it’s what, ginger and an herb from Iceland? The malt in the background adds light honey, brown bread and all-around sweetness but doesn’t go too far, nor does the herbal character overpower. Clean, though with some astringency and strong grassiness and, perhaps, a hint of soapiness. No alcohol or brewing flaw, though.
Spicy, but with ample amber malt-like character adding honey-bread and light vanilla sweetness to easily balance the spice. There’s a bit too much spicy, lightly astringent herbal character, very grassy and lightly bitter, but for how fresh this is, it’s sufficiently balanced, while the natural carbonation, unfiltered, malty mouthfeel and lack of flaw go a long way towards making up for any slight abundance of spicing.

On draught at Kevlavik airport’s beautiful, understated transit lounge on route from Bristol to Toronto. Indistinctly pungent, slightly spiced maybe wheaty blond ale that does ’different’ rather more keenly than it does ’good’.

Hazy yellow color with little white head. Aroma metallic notes and bitter. Fresh tasting beer. Taste is herbal, citrus, aftertaste little bit bitter. Nice beer with light body.

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is mildly metallic, but also has fresh citrus, lemongrass and some herbal notes. Flavour is slightly tart, mild spices, some citrus as well as some funky notes. Not sure if this was ok, but felt like a witbier with some brewing flaws to it.

Bought in Iceland in a bottle. Surprisingly fresh tasting beer. 5,3% alc gives it a good balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A pale blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, fruity esters, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with light mineral notes, light grassy hops, pleasant and refreshing. On tap at Skuli Bar.

Bottled 330ml (Alko Arkadia)
Hazy yellow color, medium-sized white head. Light fruity-wheaty aroma has some grain and lemon. Medium-bodied. Lemony, sweetish wheaty flavor with herbal notes. Kind of witbier-like. Some kind of traditional ale hybrid-

Bottle from Keflavik Airport. Pours a hazy, golden liquid. Tiny head that quickly evaporates. Smell of hay and citrus. Very citric taste, a tad too much for my taste. Very drinkable.

Bottle shared with Pix in the Kaldi Café, Reykjavik. Straw coloured with a thin white head. Light lemon citrus and yeast aroma. The taste has light spice, lemon and honey before a herbal finish. A touch of metal too. OK.
