330ml bottle, poured into Leffe chalice. Colour was dark auburn, small tanned head which didn’t last long although some lacing was retained. Aroma was yeast, a hint of cranberry and liquorice. Tasted cranberry, carrot and berries, yeast strain seemed to be the same as other Van Steenberge beers. Well carbonated, slightly thick body, smooth. Overall hid the booze well, which is always a plus point, nice beer to accompany a heavy meal.
An average, but still enjoyable double beer. Dark, but lacks some sweetness in my opinion nephirem (502) - CROATIA - JUN 15, 2017
Bottle, 0.33l. Deep ruby pour with one finger frothy off-white head. Below average retention, persistent thin layer. Good lacing. Usual nose for the style, mostly malty with caramel notes.
Thin to medium body with slightly aggressive carbonation. Regular texture, a bit fizzy. Bittersweet taste with slightly sticky mouthfeel. Aroma decent but quite usual. Caramel malts, belgian yeast, sugar. Bready. Herbal and peppery. Some bitterness in the aftertaste, a bit off-placed. Well hidden alcohol.
Overall, ok. Pretty much an average dubbel with nothing to stand out from the crowd. anfractuosity (408) - - JUN 15, 2017

Tretinkova flaska z Lidlu. Pekna pena, napriek vyssiemu alkoholu ani nejak nestupol do hlavy. Dobre pivo.

Dark brown, fading beige head. Aromas: hay, roasted malts, grassy hops. Flavors follow the nose, but there are some roasted sunflower seeds. Sweet and bitter. Okay. crazykiller (60) - iasi, ROMANIA - MAY 23, 2017

Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel Belgium.
The beer is dark brown colored and has a large and stable beige head with nice carbonation.
The aroma is malty, with notes of caramel, yeast, bread, a hint of alcohol and dried and dark fruits.
The taste is medium to full bodied sweetness and has notes of caramel and fruits and changes into light bitter with alcohol, yeast and spices.
The finish is light dry and bitter with warming alcohol.

Poured from bottle into glass - pours a medium brown with a slightly tan creamy head. Nice malty, bready notes on nose. Similar on the palate, creamy, and pretty darn nice. Brandon1989 (655) - Lewisville, Texas, USA - APR 18, 2017
Pours a dark brown with some thick sediment chunks floating around with a very thick off white head. The aroma is brown bread, sugar cane, alcohol, malts, and dark fruits. The flavor is more of the same and I have aged the bottle for 3 years so it may have mellowed the flavor.
