Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw, as well as lighter notes of yeast and sulphur. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw as well as lighter notes of yeast and sulphur, leading to a bitter finish where the notes of straw and sulphur lingers.
Vom Fass in Bornstedt getrunken. Schaum verschwindet schnell. Der hefige Antrunk dominiert. Der Rest sollte Schweigen sein.... Moravius (1278) - Beijing, CHINA - JUL 1, 2015
12/10/10/10//10 PsychoGunnar (201) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 11, 2014
Dark straw yellow helles with odours of lemon grass, wheat and maybe a hint of coriander. Tastes like rock candy, lemon grass, grapes and peach - rich, with many different nuances throughout the experience. Too bad they only have it in Bornstedt (if I understand correctly). Draught @ the brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow with stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast, with notes of citrus and butter. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with pronounced estery notes, touches of malt and hints of butter. Bitter, rough aftertaste with notes of yeast. Drinkable but nothing really special.

On tap at the brewpub.
Came a cloudy, golden orange with a full, foaming white head, it hung around a while.
Aroma is lightly toasted bread with butter and sugar sprinkled on it, add just a thin floral and fruity confiture and you’ve got the smell.
Flavour is also semi-sweet and toasty, the hop content giving some mild bitterness.
OK more than fantastic, low carbonation for a Helles, but it suited the brew. Pleased we made the effort to find the brewpub. lusikka (7813) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 14, 2013
Draught @ the brewpub, Potsdam. Pours a cloudy bright golden colour with a white head. Aroma of grass, sweet honey and bread. Flavour of sweet grainy malts, honey, yeast and herbal notes. Light bodied, good drinkability. Clearly the style is wrong, as this is a helles. tiong (7201) - Espoo, FINLAND - AUG 14, 2013
Draught @ Brewpub Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Pours hazy yellow with a smooth head. Aroma of sweet bready malts, hints of earthy notes and grass. Taste is earthy, grassy and malty with hints of bready notes. Finish is sweetish, grassy and slightly malty. Okay.
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a very cloudy, golden orange colored body with an inch thick, foamy and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened pils malts with some bread, a light grassiness, a few fruit notes, and just a touch of DMS. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened and bready pils malts with a balanced, light grassy hopping. A few fruit notes and maybe a touch of sulfur on the flavor before this finishes smooth and clean while drying with a light bitterness. Medium length aftertaste and a soft, lighter carbonation. Overall, a decent Helles. A bit on the flat side when it comes to carbonation, but I thought it worked pretty well with the soft, somewhat sweet maltiness. Balanced and easy drinking enough. rgf001 (324) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUN 16, 2012
On tap at brewery in half liter mug. Hazy light orange color with one finger head. Faint Hallertau soapy smell. Slightly bitter and simple flavor. Dry finish. Very drinkable.
