Fresh cut grass, herbal, mildly spicy hops hover over a grainy cereal malt character with some citrus tones and a bit of barnyard. This seems interesting. Hazy, straw coloured body with low white head that diminishes to ring with some light lacing. Grainy malts and herbal hop tones are marred by a plastic, waxy undertone. Some barnyard character is also apparent. Light bitterness. Light body with fairly strong initial carbonation that fizzes out quickly leaving it flat. Sampled at the Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Festival 2005.

Sampled draught at the Michigan Brewers Fest. Light gold-hay color, scintillating in the fierce outdoor sunlight, with some lace from the full head even in this crappy plastic glass...nice grassy hoppy nose with honey muting the acerbity...alas in the body a plastic, waxy quality dominates the quality malts and the sweet honey-vanilla, with little grassy freshness or hops showing through. Starts out well but ends up fairly average. jsquire (4489) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - JUL 30, 2005
On tap at the 2005 MBG Fest. Pale straw color with a fizzy white head. Light, crisp nose subtle lemon and fresh hops. I thought this was a very nice brewpub pilsner, with citrus/lemon flavors and nice buscuit tones. Citrus hops in the finish. I could drink many of these and probably goes well with most pub food. Cloudy golden hue, light white ring, lasting lacing. Very fieldish, rustic nose that gives you the urge to go running a few Ks in a farmer’s yard among the cows. Fresh lemony hops linger amidst the efficient toasted malts. Brilliant nose really, but it fails to keep on in mouth where it is for one very watery with an initial sharp carbonation that quickly disappears to leave an almost flat liquid. Flavors finish just as short, initially fruity and floral, but almost waxy after a few seconds. Too bad.
