COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

From a Christmas mixed case. Pours with a thick head and is deep dark brown. Light malty smell. Sweet with very little hops or bitterness. Chocolate malts. Ok porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rstmalziger Antrunk, leicht wssrig suerlicher Krper mit feinen Schokonoten. Im Abgang kommt eine harmonische Hopfenbittere durch (Hallertauer Perle, Hallertauer Tradition).

courtesy of Philipp and Thomas - dark brown beer with a moderate foam left; notes of chocolate and brushwood; moderate carbonation, a good malt backbone and quite tasty, light sweet; aftertaste of licorice ad chocolate; shyly toasted

Bottle from advent calendar. Dark brown colour, think white foam. Sweetish milky chocolate malts, slightly roasty. Lacks hop bitterness or flavour. A bit thin, watery and sweet. Whether supposed to be schwarzbier or porter it was a bit unsuccessful as either.

From Costco. In Teku glass. Playing Technobabylon. Nice chocolate notes with a great-feeling creamy body and well placed finishing hops. Ultradrinkable. Finished it really quick.

Bottle out of my beer advent calendar. Appearance: Dark brown and slightly reddish color with a little bit of visible carbonation and a relatively stable beige foam. Aroma: A lot of malty aromas with chocolate, quite roasty, honey and caramel, a bit fruity. Taste: A lot of sweetness and a bit of bitterness. Palate: Full body, average carbonation and an average finish. Overall: Great porter for desserts, nicely balanced aromas, pleasant sweetness.

Bottle. Clear pitch black color, nearly no head. Weak aroma, roasted malt and toffee. Sweet taste, light bitter. Sweet chocolate and light toasted notes. Thick mouthfeel, low carbonation.

Bottle. Black. Decent head. Aroma is rather weak. Roasted malts, chocolate, coffee. Taste follows aroma and also features some pumpernickel. Sweetish. Watery. Medium carbonation. Could easily be mistaken for a Schwarzbier. But for a Porter from Germany its quite alright.
