Bottle out of my beer advent calendar. Appearance: Dark brown and slightly reddish color with a little bit of visible carbonation and a relatively stable beige foam. Aroma: A lot of malty aromas with chocolate, quite roasty, honey and caramel, a bit fruity. Taste: A lot of sweetness and a bit of bitterness. Palate: Full body, average carbonation and an average finish. Overall: Great porter for desserts, nicely balanced aromas, pleasant sweetness.

Bottle. Clear pitch black color, nearly no head. Weak aroma, roasted malt and toffee. Sweet taste, light bitter. Sweet chocolate and light toasted notes. Thick mouthfeel, low carbonation.

Bottle. Black. Decent head. Aroma is rather weak. Roasted malts, chocolate, coffee. Taste follows aroma and also features some pumpernickel. Sweetish. Watery. Medium carbonation. Could easily be mistaken for a Schwarzbier. But for a Porter from Germany its quite alright.

Bottle. Light chocolate and coffee, but mostly soft aromas. Body is medium with a decent sweetness over a matching bitterness, smooth carbonation. Good harmony. Tasty. Nice!

Pours dark brown, topped with a rather small and non-lasting tan head. Mild chocolate aroma with some unpleasant smelly grains wit hstale feel. Taste is mildly sweet, little bit of chocolate. Light body. Straightforward dark lager taste.

Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into a mug. Appearance: Dark reddish black colour, with short-lived foam. Aroma: Metallic flavour; later, theres a hint of coffee and chocolate. Palate: Thin, watery, low carbonation. Taste: Sweet, caramel. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Overall impression: I expected more; it is somehow rare with too little flavour. Also, tried it from flute glass but then it has bad smell.

Well more a Schwarzbier than a porter. But good drinkable. Chocolate aroma hints in the malt body and slight hop aroma in the end.

330ml. (German style pint). I wasnt expecting a traditional Porter and didnt get one despite the name . The nose is text book dark lager vibes..notes of rich caramel, treacely malts , soy sauce , coffee roast . A fatty cumbersome accent . It looks like a glass of cola ... It drunks down quiet burnt , rich and sticky on the palate, . Notes of chewy caramel are gooey and tangy , burnt smoky woody finish . This is typical to style and I like dark lagers like this.
