COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A typical method of beer taxation in Scotland would involve higher tax rates on stronger or higher quality, beers. “50 Shilling Ale” would be your typical run of the mill Scottish style ale. “60 Shilling Ale” a little better, etc. “Boscos 90 Shilling Ale” would be, of course, off the charts.

shadey (2148) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 2, 2013
On tap as part of sampler. This was my favorite of the Boscos line-up. Nice solid body, spicy and interesting flavor. A solid beer for colder, rainy days.

Rustyham (1836) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - DEC 31, 2010
Aroma is of warm sap and honey and wood. Appearance is a deep amber> brown color. The flavor starts alcoholic and hot, then smooths into something much nicer. Strong malty body. I liked it.

drowland (8955) - Georgia, USA - DEC 28, 2010
12/26/10. On tap at the Nashville location. Clear red pour with a nice white head that lasts a bit. Big chocolate aroma with a hint of caramel. Nice caramel flavor with creamy chocolate - almost reminds of chocolate milk. A hint of green veggies in the back end.

lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 1, 2010
Orange brown, off white cover. Aroma is cocoa, caramel. Taste is caramel and cocoa with quite a bit of peaty smokiness, grassy bitter finish.

Fratto (2845) - Arlington, Texas, USA - SEP 16, 2009
On tap with UTA in the NCAA Tournament. Very sweet and very stout? I don’t get it. Blew my mind. It was neat as hell, though.

BLButler08 (12) - Carlsbad, California, USA - AUG 4, 2009
On tap at the brewery in Memphis. Sweet, very fruity tart aroma. Dark, but clear, brown. Excellent mouthfeel. Medium-heavy body. Well-bittered. Sweet and maybe a little too sweet. Tangy at times, a little roast, a good balance. Finish is nice. By far the best beer that I drank there.

nqualls (1452) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 25, 2009
On tap at the Nashville location. Poured a clear dark amber with red highlights, and a one finger tan head. The aroma was pretty much all malt. Caramel and toffee and a little bit of toast. The flavor was grainy with some caramel and an earthy finish. This was a pretty decent beer. The mouthfeel was a little thick and sticky, but the carbonation and body were spot on.

Butters (4063) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 2, 2009
Draft at the Nashville location. Clearish dark amber pour. Toasty aroma. Malty, alcoholic flavor. Cloying sticky finish.

on tap-pours an off white head and copper color. Aroma is sweet medium malt, some earthy. Taste is sweet medium malt/grainy-caramel, secondary earthy hops. OK effervescence.

T2Tool (352) - Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA - DEC 5, 2008
Had on tap at the Nashville location. Poured the same color as a nut brown ale with a nice head. The smell was of toasted malts - with caramel coming through the most. Taste was similar, very malty with caramel.
