Brown/black pour with frothy tan head and lace. Aroma is roasted malt, a hinto chocolate, and a smattering of citrusy hops. Flavor is toasted malt, chocoalte and an initial coffee bitter followed by a nice citrusy/resiny hop bitter. Smooth carbonation and medium/full bodied make this a pretty nice/different offering. ben4321 (6510) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 16, 2012

Aroma: The nose is on the roasty side, some nutty notes, and some citrusy hops are present too
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a medium sized light brown head and some medium lace
Flavor: It has a roasty malt flavor as well, the hops are more subtle, but are clearly present in the flavor
Palate: Medium bodied, it is smoothish, with a slightly smokey character, and it also has dry roasty finish
This is an interesting porter with a little hoppiness to it. The hoppiness isn’t there to make it a Black IPA.
Draft at Franklin location. Pours black with thin off white head. Aroma of roasted malt and light chocolate. Still waiting on the hops. More porter than IPA. Just Ok.

On tap at Bosco’s Memphis. Oily beige head on top of a thick brown black body. Oily bitter chocolate flavor. Sort of odd, weird variation of a Porter or Black IPA. Has sort of an extract feel. Kind of a mess..drinkable but not so impressively executed.
