Draught at the Memphis location. Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, almonds and faint earthy notes. Medium body with a lasting malt finish. Baffled by the low rating, this was a solid, classic porter. jhgrantjr (473) - Tennessee, USA - AUG 21, 2013
On tap at Boscos Brewpub in Memphis. Pours a dark brown, almost black color. Tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, burnt smell. Taste has similar qualities: roasted malt primarily, slight coffee. This is a good porter.

This is a rating for Ed’s Porter which has been listed as an alias. Ed’s Porter is dark, dark brown, not really black at all. The aroma is bittersweet and thick with hints of soy sauce, chocolate, and wood. The palate is thicker than I expected with residual citrusy bitterness. The beer is constantly chewy and bittersweet with just a dash of sweet chocolate here and there. This is highly drinkable. I had a much different (better) experience with this porter. (Total Score 3.6)
Not as thick as expected and a nice mix of malt and hops. Went quite well with my burger but would have liked something a bit fuller. edgallow (4165) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 11, 2012

Draft at Boscos Nashville . Pours a translucent brown with a creamy khaki head. Aroma is of chocolate and dark roasted malt, with some mild nuttiness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavor of burnt malts and bitter unsweetened chocolate, countered by an aggressive dry bitterness. Perhaps a little smoke mid palate. This could use a little more sweetness, and was a little too dry for my tastes. A-7 A-4 F-7 P-3 O-13 decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - FEB 22, 2010
