Surprisingly hop-forward IPA, piney and resinous with a citric undertone. Deep sweet caramel malts offset the bitterness, yet the finish brings a prolonged hop assault, seriously dry and mean. Nice. shadey (2148) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 2, 2013
On tap as part of sampler. This particular version came from cask, which softened the carbonation a bit. Big powerful hoppy aroma with punches of alcohol. Abrasive hop flavors that scrape the tongue. A big beefy IPA to be sure and on the aggressive side. high_on_hops (809) - Burlingame, California, USA - MAY 9, 2012
On tap. A nice gold color with a short white head and lacing. The aroma has pine, grass, and some honey. The flavor has some hops up front and through the flavor, along with some malt and a little bit of spice on the aftertaste.

The only one I remember well enough to remember from my college days. This was a very hoppy beer but quite tasty. Wasn’t really sure at the time about the strong hop flavors as I am now. jcwattsrugger (12517) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUL 5, 2011
[Nashville]–on tap-pours a foamy off white head and gold color. Aroma is soft orange, grain. As it warms, some spice shows and the grain becomes sweet.. Taste is orange/resin/herbal hops bite, medium malt-caramel. Finish is bittering hops bite.

The name is rather misleading as I was expecting a beer with hops slammed down my throw. Rather this is a type IPA, nice citrus taste and smell but nothing more. msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - NOV 3, 2009
Pours clear amberwith white head. Aroma is floral hops with some citrus and caramel malt. Flavor is bitter and floral hops with some citrus and malt. Not as hoppy as I was hoping for with the 75+IBUs. Tasted bitter and stale. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 28, 2009
Clear amber, off white foam. Aroma is floral, perfumey hops, nice. Taste is big floral hops, citrus, lingering bitterness. Avengedpoet (329) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - JUL 8, 2009
On tap at the brewery in Franklin. Touted as a double IPA and hoppier than their Bombay IPA. Light amber color. Mild hop aroma - clean noble hops. Hop taste is also quite mild and easy to drink. More drinkable than the Bombay, would be great on cask, but too mild to be a DIPA. vyvvy (6638) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 25, 2009
Sampled at Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition festival. Pours golden / orange with a small head. The aroma has piny floral hops, sweet caramel malt and some diacetyl. Medium body that is a bit abrasive and has some semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts like the aroma, but the oxidized side and there is some syrupy sweetness. The finish is thin and overly earthy.
