Solid Scotch ale, smoky peat on top of bourbon-tinged caramel-toffee malts. Finishes with a mild bitterness highlighted by smoke and grain. Nice. Foxbush (2028) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - SEP 18, 2016
Draft at the Brewpub The ale poured a clear amber color with no head and lacing. Some pale malt and toffee on the nose. The ale has a medium body with average carbonation. There is some noted mild hop bitterness.at the finish. pubhunter54 (11) - Flagstaff, Arizona, USA - FEB 28, 2016
A full-bodied, low hop Scottish Ale. Flavor has a great start and a great finish. Very clean combination of spices. Fantastic with lunch! jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 12, 2014
Keg @ Boscos, LR. Deep amber pour with a small head. The aroma thankfully isn’t as badly afflicted by diacetyl as other Boscos beers are. Some nutty peanut butter, roasted malt, chocolate. The flavor is similarly nutty and sweet. Light bitterness on the finish. Mediocre. calicokat28 (4) - Tennessee, USA - AUG 31, 2014 does not count
One of my favourites at Boscos. My goto if the special beers are more hoppy. Fav here is the Oatmeal stout.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2014 On tap at Boscos Squared in Memphis. Pours a brown color with white head. Malty, caramel, toffee flavors. Pretty solid scottish ale, a style that is not one of my favorites. Ferris (15265) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 13, 2014
Draft - Slight sourness and caramel. Dark clear amber with a thin beige head. Sweet toffee and a slight bitterness finishing toffee again. onceblind (9630) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 29, 2013
Clear dark nutty amber with a thin spotty head. The aroma is dark malty and peaty though not necessarily sweet, though there is a bit of raisin in there. The taste is clean and light with a sweet light molasses-like maltiness, a touch of peat, a touch of raisin, and an oddly dry dusty finish. It’s just not assertive enough, nor big enough. Needs more of ’something’ and not to be so ’middle of the road’, though I guess that’s hard to do with a scotch ale as it is... shadey (2135) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 2, 2013
On tap at Boscos. Dark brown pour. White layer of head. Aroma is light smokey and sweet. Watery for scotch, but okay.
