Sweet, malty aroma. Some sour fruit notes, finishes sugary. Too much sweetness for me, but well balanced. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2009

Source: On tap at the Hillsboro Village brewpub.
Glass: Poured into a lager type glass.
Appearance: Poured a dark brown color with orange highlights.
Aroma: Caramel malt dominates the nose, with hints of earthy hops.
Flavor: Very malty. Caramel and toffee.
Palate: Medium/full body with soft carbonation and a heavy mouthfeel.
Overall: Good beer. Could have been melded together a bit better, but overall, very good.
On tap at the Nashville brewpub. Pours a clear dark brown color with reddish hues and a well-formed off-white head. Aroma is sweet caramel dark fruits, and mild hop notes. Flavor is very malty and fruity, and probably the sweetest beer I had at Bosco’s. Sugar plum and raisin, caramel and toffee, with some hop bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied with medium-low carbonation. A nice beer overall, but not one of my favorites from Bosco’s. ericmc83 (207) - Arkansas, USA - NOV 19, 2005
Characteristic of its style. Well balanced and hides its alcohol well. I missed having this on cask by about 30 minutes! So I had to settle for having it on tap. Oh well. It was still good.

(On tap) Memphis. Clear, reddish brown with an off-white head. Malty, lightly caramelish nose. Medium-bodied, lightly sweet with some sherry notes and lovely, roasted malt. And everything is perfectly balanced by some rather solid bittering hops. 280306 oobawa (1865) - Tennessee, USA - MAR 23, 2017
Boozy and sweet, packed with tons of apple esters and funky Brit yeast. Bread and dough on the finish yet a floral bitterness eases the alcohol on the fade. Thorpe429 (5122) - , Illinois, USA - APR 19, 2013
On tap at Boscos, Squared. Moderately sweet with a bit of dark fruit and brown sugar. Medium body and low carbonation. Ughsmash (7502) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 9, 2014
On tap. Poured deep amber with a swirly beige head. The aroma picked up sweeter dark fruits, toffee, and some fruity hops.. I didn’t get much "English" in the nose.. OK. The flavor found lots of fruity stuff again, with caramel and molasses helping to support.. berry seeds and peppery alcohol on the edges.. finished warm and fruity. Medium-bodied with low carbonation.. too sharp at times.
