Cloudy amber brown. Nose is very light and nutty. Palate is slightly on the sweet side, with flavors of caramel, roasted nut and coffee. Palate, unlike many winters, is sessionable. Nice. beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - APR 1, 2012
Draft. On tap at both locations in Nashville so I guess it has come out of retirement. Deep copper with an off white top. Scent is caramel and herbal. Taste is spices, sweet malts and herbal. decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - FEB 18, 2012
Says retired but the description here is the same as the one on the menu so here we go. Copper pour with light watery head. Aroma caramel malt and a spice. Flavor is sweet malt followed by a spicy bite and a pretty decent bitter. Medium bodied and a bit fizzy. BeerHawk (1810) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - FEB 18, 2009
Draft at Cool Springs location. Red brown in the glass with a creamy off-white head that had a thin layer lasting and light lace. Aromas of toasted malts and light spices. The flavor was sweet with chocolate, fruits, and spice. Medium body with a sweet fruit and light spice aftertaste. Nice! illinismitty (2271) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 27, 2008
Draft at Nashville. Pours a deep mahogany with a tan head, webby lacing. Malty and spicy aroma. Medium bodied with the typical Boscos clean texture. FLavor of dark caramelized malts, berry, and spice- countered by a moderate bitterness. Complex without attacking the palate. Nice beer.

Not at all what I expected and was pleasantly surprised. The hops were a big plus. I was not able to enjoy only one, kept going back for another. Aurelius (5295) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - DEC 9, 2005
Faint, raisin-grapey aroma. Ruddy brown ale with a thin light head. Nicely bitter, moderately dry. Finishes a bit bitter and spicy with a medium mouthfeel. Extremely drinkable.
