COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Germany is stepping up their hop breeding game to bring out a host of new hop varieties. Huell Melon is the newest German hop variety we’ve picked up, so naturally, we recklessly dumped it into our single malt pale ale base recipe for Part 4 of our SMASH series (5.4% ABV 35 IBU). Some reports say it’s characterized by melon and berry flavors, but since this is our first go-round with this hop, the jury’s still out for us.

Cask at GBBF 2016. It pours lightly hazy gold with a tiny white head. The aroma is rich, stinky pine, soft stone fruits, white grape, melon and cheap white wine. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, oily, pine, white grape skin, sticky, gooseberry and spicy with a dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Decent stuff.
